Sahlin Studio has an adorable new kit in the store today (20% off through the weekend) – and it has an adorable little deer in it!
Seriously, could it be any cuter? I used it to make an inspirational card:

Seriously, could it be any cuter? I used it to make an inspirational card:
Sahlin Studio has a new kit in her store, and it’s 20% off for a few more hours.
Isn’t it gorgeous?! I started out meaning to make a fall-ish page and intended to use quite a bit of the purple touches in the kit, but then DH boycotted me by not passing along the photos I made him take of me with my new haircut this morning, so I sought out the sunnier parts of the kit and came up with this hybrid page instead. 🙂
To say that I love how it turned out would be an understatement! I adore it!! 😉 Here are a few detailed shots:
I got real messy on that fun city map paper, and used mist paint and acrylic paint + modeling paste. Fun!!
Some of the supplies used:
word wood veneer
arrow wood veneer
Overdue Mister Huey’s Spray (Studio Calico)
Ampersand mask
Elle’s Studio True Happiness stamp – stamped on vellum paper with pigment ink. Love!!
doilies
How can it be September already?? Well, the September BYOC is so pretty that it almost makes me glad that a new month is here. 😉 I made the most of Labor Day and scrapped a couple of pages. Yay!
The theme of this BYOC is back to school, but I found it versatile enough to use it for a variety of topics.
I am in love with this floral patterned paper:
I also made a very quick card for a friend.
And this brings us one day closer to the weekend! Yay!! I will be back soon to share more creations. 😉
Not only is she one of the most amazing designers… Krista of Sahlin Studio is also extremely generous! Check out how gorgeous this kit is! And it is free for all newsletter subscribers! Check out the details here.
*sigh* These colors make me so happy! I used it to make a card:
Here’s a little detail:
Have a great rest of the week!
I have a few pages and cards to share. First off, the August BYOC is in the shop at The Lilypad! I love the color scheme for this month, and here’s what I made with it:
Next, I have a couple of cards to share from last week, both done using my Silhouette Electronic Cutting Tool. The first one uses the August featured kit by Sahlin Studio – it’s 30% off for the whole month, and if you use it you can win a prize!
This next card was inspired by the trend of vellum pockets with confetti – as soon as I saw the gorgeous paper in Jenn Barrette’s kit, I knew I had to use it right away. 🙂
To write the sentiment on this card, I used my favorite alpha stamp set: the Stepping Stone Alphabet – Clear Stamps by Studio Calico/Hero Arts, stamped with Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad, Worn Lipstick – I love this pretty pink color!
Lastly, I will share my favorite recent page:
I love how it turned out! Like the page at the beginning of the post, this one uses cell phone camera photos. The camera on DH’s Apple iPhone 4S is really good!
ETA: this page was featured on the MSA blog.
Yay, I am so happy to share another gorgeous BYOC at The Lilypad! I know I say this every month… but I’m really in love with this month’s BYOC! 🙂
I love these colors!! I started by making a page with a picture from the 4th of July. It was a super hot day, but we braved the heat and went to see the fireworks show (LO to come..). 🙂
I also made a card:
I know I’ve mentioned it already, but I just love how having my own scrap desk now makes me create so much more! It takes no time at all to fire up my Silhouette, and I even added glitter to this card (on the flower). 🙂 I love glitter, but I often am too lazy to play with it.. But I really should get it out more often!
I know I’ll be definitely using this gorgeous BYOC for a few more pages, hopefully this weekend!
Oh my goodness, I haven’t posted on my blog in almost a month! This goes to show how busy I’ve been lately… 🙁 To top it off, I was in the office until midnight last night. Yes, midnight!! 🙁 But I still managed to squeeze in a little time earlier in the week to play with Sahlin Studio’s latest collab, Fresh:
Isn’t it just gorgeous?? I lately got a new desk for my crafts, and I tried it out for the first time working on this card. I also used my Silhouette, since with the new arrangement it is much easier to turn it on and connect it to my computer. So expect to see plenty of cut out goodness in the future! 😉
So while the design and cutting of this card went very fast, what took me the longest was actually putting the card together: there’s lots of layering so at some point I felt like I needed an extra hand. 😉
Have a great weekend!
My mom is coming to visit in exactly a week, so I made a card for her using the gorgeous new releases by Sahlin Studio, and following the instructions for the Mother’s Day card on Club CK.
It was so much fun!! Here’s what it looks once it’s opened up:
And here are a few detailed shots.
I will be adding text on this left side.
I had lots of fun spraying this brown envelope! 🙂
I made the banner out of washi tape.
The pictures are ones we took when my mom came to visit last spring.
I know she will love this! 🙂

Wow… almost 2 weeks since my last blog post! I have been really busy lately, and it’s not over… But I do want to share some of my Project Life. I am 3 weeks behind – I seem to be constantly 3 weeks behind. Let’s see if I can catch up some during the weekend. Here is Week 15 – I love how it turned out!!
I used the April BYOC from The Lilypad for this spread. I love the colors!
I also put my Silhouette to good use this week to cut out a few words.
This week we went car shopping, so that was the theme of the week.
I used my new stamps from Ali Edwards, in addition to the Studio Calico ones. I painted the alphabet letters with orange acrylic paint, and spray misted the wood veneer car.
I am loving these screenshots of my and DH’s votes for Dancing with the Stars each week!
I cut out words for all the car manufacturers we visited this week. I love the doily stamp by Amy Tangerine!
Here I stamped and wrote on the digital labels by Valorie Wibbens. Cute!
I am in love with the wood veneer stars!
I tried stamping on the blue masking tape – it worked! The orange stamps here were stamped with acrylic paint.
This is one of my favorite weeks ever! Now let’s move on to Week 16.
I kept it simple this week, with little digi, mostly is paper and stamps. I love the look!
I had tons of pictures this week, since we bought our new car and I had to document that, but I didn’t want to have to add inserts. I think it worked out well! The entire left page is just about one day. 🙂
I spray misted the wood veneer car with a silver coat, so it looks like our car. 🙂
We recently got in the mail one of those ads – “you won a car!” – and as soon as I saw it I knew I’d be using that key in my PL album! 😉 The timing was just perfect! 🙂
Here is the list of supplies.
Week 15:
Smash date stamp K&C company
Week 16:
I have SO many goodies to share for iNSD, and I’m going to put them all in one post – so be prepared, because it’s going to be a long one!
Let’s start with what’s going on at The Lilypad. The May BYOC is in the store, everything is 30% off, there’s a free with $15 purchase collab, and fun and games and chats.
Make sure you check out the forum to keep up with all that is going on! This week I finished up the last 2 pages that were missing to complete the album about my mom’s visit last year, and I placed the order for a 60-page photobook. It should get here just in time for her next visit, I’m really excited! I used the May BYOC to scrap the cover and 1 page:
I love those painty backgrounds by Kitty Designs! And the stamped alphas by Michelle Godin are awesome too!
I also made a page about a few of the things that happened this week.
Then I made two quick cards using BYOC goodies by Sahlin Studio and Jenn Barrette:
I am in love with that paper! Look out for it to make an appearance soon in my Project Life album. 🙂
To make the other missing page in my mom’s album, I used the new release by creashens, which is 35% off:
Here’s my page:
It wouldn’t be iNSD without freebies, right?? Ju Kneipp has a gorgeous one on her Facebook page!
I love the page I made with it, and it came together in no time!
OK… almost done! 🙂 Mari Koegelenberg has 2 new releases out today, and they are both gorgeous!! The first is a kit packed with essential supplies:
I love how my page turned out!
And the second kit is so bright and cheerful!
I used the stamped alpha from the essential kit on my page too.
Phew! Well, I think that’s all I have for now! 😀 Have a fabulous iNSD weekend! 🙂
