Stretch Your Card Kit!

After all the cardmaking with the Copper Mountain card kits, I was itching to create something else. 🙂 So I made a 12×12 page using some paper scraps from the card kits and some digital files.

I love how this page turned out! Here are some details.

This is a digi printable.

I love this little stamps from the Copper Mountain card kit!

Layering with the pretty star button.

Misting in the background, and another digi printable (the speech bubble).

These gems are so pretty!

Copper Mountain – January kits at Studio Calico

I am the card kit guest designer for January 2014 at Studio Calico, and I went a bit overboard with cardmaking lately! 😉 I made a total of nine cards!

These first few were done with the main card kit only, Copper Mountain card kit. {the link only works for subscribers from noon EST on Dec. 27, and for everyone from midnight}

The kit comes with a die to be used with a manual die cutter. Since I don’t own one, I thought of some other way to use the die, and ended up using it as a stencil for my stitching. 🙂 I love this cute whale!

The colors in this month’s kit are right up my alley!

The patterns in the paper pad are very pretty!

This ribbon in the kit is so much fun! It has thin metal wires inside, so you can shape it up as you wish!

I thought the stamps were so versatile!

I was inspired by these cute candy dots to go with an ombre theme for this card.

And now we get to the card add on kit, Spaulding Bowl. {the link only works for subscribers from noon EST on Dec. 27, and for everyone from midnight}

I went with an elegant design for this card.. I guess the color scheme was inspired by the Christmas festivities! 🙂

I am in love with the skinny handwritten sentiments in the stamp set!!

As soon as I saw the washi and the gems in the add on kit I knew they’d be a perfect match! 🙂

I also used some of the digital files along with my Silhouette.
When I saw the ocean theme for the stamp set I immediately thought I should use this pretty blue POW glitter paper I had in my stash. 🙂

Yeah, I think this is my favorite card out of the nine I made!

I tried using the stamp to make a card with two whales, but it didn’t quite work out.. it turned out much better to use the digital shape and cut out the two whales! 🙂

Confession: this was my first time ever using a rub on! 😉 (the white anchor)

There is an adorable fox stamp in one of the Project Life add ons and I got to play with this cut file and some watercolors. 🙂

And that’s my ninth card! I have by no means exhausted these two kit, just my time! I haven’t even played yet with two of the stamps – the clouds and “showered with love” sentiment in the main kit and the books stamps in the add on.

I hope you enjoyed these cards; I had lots of fun making them and I hope they show how versatile these kits are! 🙂 In fact, I used the card kits to make a 12″x12″ LO last night – I will be sharing it here early next week. 🙂

Copper Mountain Sneaks!

Happy Christmas Eve! I am quite thrilled that it’s snowing again, after the snow melted all away a couple of days ago. I am hoping we get a white Christmas!

In the meantime, I have some Instagram sneaks of the cards I made with the Studio Calico January kits. I’m very excited to be a card guest designer next month – what better way to start the new year?! 🙂 First off, I want to show you some sneaks of the Copper Mountain card kit:

I also got to create with the card add on, and I’ve got to tell you… those stamps are awesome!!

Apparently I cannot stop creating with these gorgeous kits, because I have a couple more cards to share in which I also used some of the digital elements to cut out shapes with my Silhouette. 🙂

For this last card I combined the whale and fish with some blue POW paper from my stash.. it may very well be my favorite card of the bunch!

OK that’s it for now! I have made seven cards so far, and I may have a couple more in the works ;), so come back on the 27th to see the full reveal!

These pictures are from two days ago, and I am super bummed because all of that pretty snow is now gone, melted away! I’d really love to have a white Christmas..

Merry Little Christmas

creashens has an adorable new kit in the store today! I used it to scrap about my hopes for Christmas (… only 5 days to go now!!). I am so in love with all the hand-drawn elements and the pretty tape in this kit!

Are you having a white Christmas? 🙂

December Daily 2013 – Days 1-4

Whoops I am a few days late with this post but it’s just been a crazy week. Here are Days 1-4 of my December Daily.

On day 1 I took a picture of our four advent calendars. 🙂 Our elf reminded us to open the advent calendars this day (he’s leaning back and pointing to the calendars, and not sleeping like DH thought! ;)).

I am using vellum numbers by Crate Paper to mark the days this year. I layered a punched snowflake and gold numbers to identify our advent calendars.

In the second spread I have four days (part of day 1 and days 2, 3, and 4).

Here are the details.

I am starting to freak out because Christmas is less than a week away and I have done close to zero holiday related events.. I have just been too busy with work, but it sucks because this is my favorite time of the year and I wish I could savor it more.

Hello December!

I am excited to share my page for the December gallery at write.click.scrapbook! This month’s theme was holiday traditions, so of course I had to scrap our favorite one. 🙂

I had lots of fun stamping and embossing on this page! Here are a few details.

Red glitter Zing embossing powder is a must for Christmas pages! 🙂 I also bought the green one but haven’t used it yet.
These Christmas Blueprints stamps by Tim Holtz are from last year, but I just bought them and I am in love! The Santa is from this stamp set and it’s just too cute! I bought these stamps with December Daily and Christmas cards in mind. I am glad I got them!
Another purchase I made with Christmas in mind was Ranger Archival Ink in emerald green and vermillion. I love how smooth the stamped images turned out!
Hope you had a great start to the month!
