Heaven

Easter break, spring break… it’s definitely the season for a break! Unfortunately no such thing for me, but I could at least break out last summer’s pictures to scrap with the latest collab by Mari Koegelenberg and Meghan Mullens. 😉
Here’s my page – iPhone photos, unedited. *sigh* It was quite heavenly indeed!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Project Life – Week 10

This was a fun week to put together!

Project Life - Week 10

I had quite a few pictures and events to include this week, so I added an insert using the Design H photo protectors. The photo protector on the left is by We R Memory Keepers.

Project Life - Week 10

On the right I used a Design A photo protector.

Project Life - Week 10

The left page is my least favorite part of this spread, but it still has parts I like.

Project Life - Week 10

This is the front and back of the insert. I love how it turned out!!

Project Life - Week 10

And this is the right page. OK, let’s see some details! 😉

Project Life - Week 10

I finally got to use some of my cards from the Clementine kit! I bought it last year and rarely use it, but this “10” card was perfect for this week. 🙂 The arrow stickers are from the Clementine kit as well. I had to add some washi tape (orange striped washi tape is by My Mind’s Eye,) at the top because the card kept slipping out of its slot. The stamp at the top is from the February Studio Calico Front Row Project Life kit, embossed with Versamark ink and Apricot ZING embossing powder. I love embossing!! I love stamping, but only have a limited color supply, while my Zing stash is getting bigger. 😉 I also stamped the Amy Tangerine calendar stamp in Versafine Smokey Gray ink. The blue alpha is by Prima.

Project Life - Week 10

The card is the back of a card from the March Studio Calico Neverland Project Life kit; I used my  Pebbles date stamp and the tab is by Bananafish Studio from the February Studio Calico Front Row Project Life kit.

Project Life - Week 10

I used two stamps from the March Studio Calico Neverland Project Life kit, and embossed with Versamark ink and Apricot ZING embossing powder on vellum paper. The badge is also from the kit. I created the “awesome” word bit, and the round stickers are from the Clementine kit. The background is a Becky Higgins Project Life 4×6 grid card sprayed with Heirloom Blue Mister Huey by Studio Calico.

Project Life - Week 10

I dug out the sold out Awesome stamp set by Studio Calico, and embossed it with Versamark ink and Apricot ZING embossing powder. It turned out awesome!! 😉 I made the word strip, and the card on the right is a recolored version of the one I used on this page, using a design by Digital Design Essentials.

Project Life - Week 10

I love the Darling Dear printed chipboard hearts by Studio Calico!

Project Life - Week 10

Here I used a stamp by Ali Edwards for Technique Tuesday, embossed with Versamark ink and Apricot ZING embossing powder. I layered washi tape by My Mind’s Eye and American Crafts glitter tape. The alpha is by Basic Grey (Fact and Fiction).

Project Life - Week 10

I stamped the Days of the Week stamp by Ali Edwards on the Bananafish Studio tab from the February Studio Calico Front Row Project Life kit, and colored it with watercolor crayons.

Project Life - Week 10

Just used some washi tape on this card.

Project Life - Week 10

This stamp is from the Epic stamp set by Studio Calico; I embossed it with Versamark ink and Apricot ZING embossing powder on vellum paper. I used the Tiny Attacher to attach it to the photo.

Project Life - Week 10

I love how this card turned out! The card is from the Studio Calico Darling Dear journaling card set. I embossed an Ali Edwards stamp with Versamark ink and Apricot ZING embossing powderTape by My Mind’s Eye, and a Darling Dear printed chipboard heart by Studio Calico. The blue camera sticker wasn’t planned to be on the card, but I made a mistake in the journaling so I used it to cover it up. 😉 Stamp from the Black Friday Studio Calico set (sold out)

Project Life - Week 10

Card from a Studio Calico PL kit. The cute little alpha is by Prima. I thought the wood veneer camera by Studio Calico was the perfect touch for this card.

Project Life - Week 10

I embellished these photos with Studio Calico Darling Dear stickers.

Project Life - Week 10

Well, now you know… that’s what my craft corner looks like most of the time! 😉 The alpha sticker is by Basic Grey (Fact and Fiction) and I added a word directly on the photo using a white poster paint fine sharpie.

Project Life - Week 10

And here’s the last card! I had fun using the Glitz roller stamp with Heirloom Blue Mister Huey, and I stamped stamps by Amy Tangerine and the Stepping Stone alpha by Studio Calico with Versamark ink and Apricot ZING embossing powder on a Becky Higgins Project Life 4×6 grid card.

Hope you enjoyed this post! I’d love to hear from you if you did. 🙂

Project Life – Week 9

For this week, I will only share a few cards here instead of the 2-page spread – let’s call it a highlight of the week. 🙂 Just trying to keep the page sharing / blogging manageable.

Project Life - Week 9

I used a paper from the Studio Calico Sundrifter 6×6 paper pad here.

Project Life - Week 9

This card is from the March Studio Calico Project Life kit. I stamped on it with the Amy Tangerine calendar stamp in Versafine Smokey Gray ink. The butterfly is from a chipboard set by Basic Grey (Fact + Fiction), layered on top of washi tape and glitter tape.

Project Life - Week 9

This card was fun to make. 🙂 I used a Studio Calico chevron mask and sprayed Cameo Mister Huey. The stamp is by Studio Calico from a past kit (Mama’s Porch), and I stamped it with Versamark ink and embossed with copper Zing.

Project Life - Week 9

I embossed a stamp from the Jan. Studio Calico Project Life kit with with Versamark ink and copper Zing on top of a banner from a chipboard set by Basic Grey (Fact + Fiction).

And that’s it!

Hello

creashens’ latest kit is so inspiring! It is a huge kit, with pops of bright colors (which I love!), but what’s even more inspiring is the wide variety of elements included – watercolor stamps, doodles, the most adorable glassine bag.. and lots more! Here’s what I scrapped using the kit and some add on packs. 🙂

This page was such a joy to put together!!
And – yay! – it’s Friday and the weekend is near! So happy!

Project Life – Week 8

I am a bit behind in posting my Project Life on the blog.. Here’s Week 8.

The color scheme this week is orange, blue and pink, inspired by the new Sundrifter and Here+There lines by Studio Calico. I used the Studio Calico Project Life kits too, and some other bits and pieces.

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

The left page uses Design F photo protectors, while the right page uses Design E.

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

Here are the details.

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

I was inspired by one of the challenges in the February Bright Ideas class at Studio Salico to make this title card using my typewriter. It was fun to make, and I love the result! The alpha is from the Feb. Studio Calico Project Life kit, and I made the banner out of vellum, colored with an American Crafts stamp marker. The washi tape on the right is by My Mind’s Eye, The Sweetest Thing collection. I used my Pebbles date stamp throughout.

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

This was a momentous week – I had a breakthrough that solved something I had been working on for months… and that will likely make me graduate. Yay me!! At the same time, I kept hearing this song at the radio, so it inspired me to use it on this card. 🙂 Card, washi and note stamp are from various Studio Calico Project Life kits. The alpha is micro mono by Basic Grey (awesome for Project Life!!), and the sticky arrow is from an old Sticky Pad by Studio Calico. The background paper is from the 6×6 Studio Calico Here+There paper pad.

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

Just a fun story about DH wearing a “black” shirt that was in fact green.. 😉 Alphas by Basic Grey and Jillybean Soup. The arrow stamp is from a sold out Black Friday Studio Calico set.

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

Washi and arrow stamps from the Jan. and Feb. Studio Calico Project Life kits, respectively; exclamation marks stamp from a sold out Black Friday Studio Calico set. I added the washi tape on the corners of the card to match the look of the journaling card below.

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

I used a card from the Studio Calico Yearbook journaling card set since the colors matched my scheme so well!

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

The background is from Basic Grey 6×6 Fact paper pad. I added some mist drops using Sweet Cherry and Primrose Color Shine by Heidi Swapp.

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

The background is from the Basic Grey Fiction 6×6 paper pad, and I added some washi tape by My Mind’s Eye. I stamped the “YUM” on the banner using my Stampendous tiny alphabet.

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

Background paper from the Studio Calico Sundrifter 6×6 paper pad.

Project Life 2013 - Week 8

Used up more of the same scraps of papers here, and a free calendar card from Studio Calico. I smeared some Heidi Swapp Sweet Cherry Color Shine to mark the days this week spanned. And that’s it for this week! 😉

Neon Crush

There’s a new collection in the store at Digital Design Essentials.. and it’s a super fun one! I love the neon look but I find it’s not easy to pull off on a page.. however, with this collection, I was able to put together two pages in no time, and I have a 3rd one coming!

Everything is 20% off right now so you should snag it right away!
For my first page, I had a completely different look+topic in mind, but when I pulled out that awesome journaling card, I was hooked and had to make this page instead! 😉

I LOVE how it turned out, and I got a gallery standout too! 😉  For my second page, I went with a monochromatic look.

I thought the hot pink matched really well the cheesiness of this page. 🙂 I’ll be back soon to share my third page. 😉

ETA 3/12: here’s the last page I made!

A Day Late..

Not sure how it happened, but yesterday kind of got away from me.. 😉 .. and I have two cards to share with two new kits that were released yesterday! The first one is by Mari Koegelenberg…
I made this simple card, but I really love how it turned out! 😉

Then there is this fun kit by Jenn Barrette and my card:

Have a nice day! I hate the switch to Daylight Savings, I know it’ll take me a few days to get used to it! Getting up on hour earlier is never good in my book… 😉

Just an Ordinary Week..

Happy Friday! This day couldn’t have arrived sooner for me – I was looking forward to making good progress at work this week, but then I kept getting requests from different people to work on other minor stuff, and ended up not having time to work on what I wanted to. I hate when that happens!! Note to self: never fool yourself into thinking that things will slow down.. they never do! 🙁
But there is one good thing that came out of this busy week – I scrapped! 😉 Here’s what I used:

It’s a gorgeous new kit by Kaye Winiecki – oh how I love everything that she designs! And even though I’m a fast scrapper, this page came together really fast – it took me less than 20 minutes! Yes, yet another reason why I love digi scrapbooking so much. 🙂

The kit is 20% off through the weekend, so go grab it! 🙂

Off We Go (..I Wish!)

Have you seen the new travel themed products by Digital Design Essentials?? They are so fun to play with! I love the colors and all the travel elements! These are the papers:

and these are the stamps:

Here’s how I used them along with the other new products:

This was a photo from last summer. These products have a great design and they would work really well for non travel pages too!

ETA 3/19: this page was features on the My Scrapbook Art blog and on the Club Creating Keepsakes blog! 😉

It’s Friday!

creashens has a new kit + accompanying bits in her store, and it was a pleasure to work with! I wasn’t quite sure what to scrap, but as soon as I spotted the telephone in the flair pack I knew! 🙂

I used a couple of screenshots I had taken in the past few months of the conversations I have with my mom+grandma on Skype, and I really love how the design of this page came together. 😉
I am very happy that it’s Friday, but March has definitely creeped up on me and I’m not quite ready for it yet! 😉 February was a busy month, but very productive too, so I cannot complain. I must make time this weekend to play with the March BYOC at The Lilypad though — it is so pretty and I can’t wait to use it!
