I Know..

I know, I’ve been unusually silent these past few days. Well, the fact is, I’ve been busy with a ton of administrative work (we had a CT call at ScrapMatters, plus I’ve been working on some banners), and haven’t had much time to create (well, I did work on a very cute project this weekend, but since it’s for March’s newletter, I can’t show it yet..).
But, I do have a few things to show you nonetheless. 🙂 Here’s the project I made for the February newsletter at ScrapMatters. If you aren’t signed up yet, you really should, because apart from my tutorials, which you understandably may not be interested in ;), there’s a lot of inspiring articles, and a free kit every month!
This project is for St. Patrick’s Day (as if you couldn’t tell.. ha!) and was made using the free kit that came with the newsletter.

Next, a couple of pages with Friday’s new releases at ScrapMatters. I absolutely LOVE anything that Jennifer Barrette designs.. and this gorgeous kit is no exception!

An adorable kit.. for adorable puppies!

Next, take a look at these stitches by Chelle’s Creations:

These have endless possibilities! The stitches and the holes come on different layers, so it’s really easy to shadow them properly! I love these stitches!!

That’s it for now, but I scrapped tonight, so I will have something to show you on Friday! 😉

Ready for Valentine’s Day?

I’m almost ready for Valentine’s Day. 🙂 I made a pretty box to hold my Valentine coupons, so I only need to write the coupons (will do that tonight while DH’s not home! 😉 ) and I’ll be all set. 🙂

Here’s some more shots:

It’s sooo pretty! Hope DH likes it! 🙂 I even rounded the corners of the coupons now (I bought a gorgeous corner rounder on my latest online shopping spree!!) but I don’t have pics of that.

Now, on a personal note: I bought a laptop on Sunday because I need it for work (so I can bring work home more easily too.. lucky me, huh.. :-P), but since I alread have my fancy Mac desktop at home for scrapping and everything else, I couldn’t afford getting a Mac laptop too. It also wouldn’t have made any sense, because all of the programs I run for work only work on Windows.. So, I bought a cheap but powerful Windows laptop… and I’m loving it! I didn’t expect to like it so much, after being a converted Mac girl.. but I do! I hope it doesn’t disappoint me! 😉

Hybrid Projects

I have a couple of hybrid projects from last month to share. I am so proud of how these turned out! 😉
The first two were for my Secret Santa gifts (ugh.. my first gift got lost in the mail.. so I had to make new gifts.. :-/). I made a photography frame since the recipient is a photographer:

and a personalized scratch pad holder:

I sent her the penguin card too:

Then, I made some gifts for a Secret Valentine! 🙂 (this time the gifts arrived safely the first time.. phew!)

I made a matching card + candy dispenser 😉

Lemme show you some details:

And then I made her a frame!

All by Mari Koegelenberg Creations:

Here’s some details:

I loooove my glossy accents!

Glitter stickles are pretty neat too!

I inked the prima flower since the color was too bright and it turned out just perfect for this project!

I have rapidly become a fan of distressing ink. A fan?? Let’s admit it: I cannot live without it!

And that’s it for my Secret Santa and Valentine! 😉 I do have some more hybrid goodness to show you, but I’ll leave that for a later post. In the meantime, if you aren’t signed up for the ScrapMatters newsletter, make sure you sign up, because I have a very neat project for the February newsletter, which is going out soon. 🙂

Tagged!

Amy Sumrall has a new product out today, and it’s for sale for just one buck for Tadpole Tuesday!!

I used it in combination with her adorable collab Count S.W.A.L.-ula to make a card:

These tags are so versatile and pretty!
She also has this great basic paper pack for sale for $1 today:

It’s Coming..!

OK, seriously.. I cannot believe I haven’t blogged about this yet!!! Shame on me!

It’s starting on Monday, Feb. 1! There will be 3 lessons each week, starting from the very basics; there will be homework (and little treats! 😉 ) to keep you on track. Hope to see you all there! 😉

Get Ready..

Our Amy Sumrall is guesting at ScrapOrchard this month.. and this means she’ll be busy designing like crazy for the whole month of February!! Actually.. she’s started already! 🙂 Check out this collab with Ziggle Designs:

Isn’t it fun and adorable? 🙂 Here’s a little card I did with it:

Amy stuff works phenomenally well with hybrid. Do you see how shiny and dimensional those hearts are?!? Well, I didn’t add anything glossy, it’s just Amy’s designs printed out on paper! 🙂

New Releases!

I found time to play with three of the many beautiful new releases at ScrapMatters this week, and I loved them!
First off, this adorable bundle by Stolen Moments:

and this fantastic template pack by Pri Rocha:

Here’s what I made:

Then I couldn’t resist playing with this adorable kit by Kate Winiecki,

and since I didn’t have pictures to go with the theme, I did a no picture LO. 🙂

I also have a hybrid project to share – it was featured in the January newsletter, and I hope you’re subscribed because I made a printable freebie to make your own Valentine coupon book!

Fun with Cards

I’ve had fun making a couple of cards this week! They’re all for the It’s in the Cards hybrid challenge at ScrapMatters. Every 2 weeks, you get a free template for your card! Anyway, I had fun trying out some new techniques/products. I was so inspired by Tim Holtz’s blog that I decided to pick up a few of the supplies he uses in his creations, since I am totally green for anything that’s related to paper scrapbooking. It turned out a great way to start! So, first off, this card, using stickles and foam dots:

Here’s a close up:

OK, I gotta confess: when I designed my card in Photoshop, I planned to print out the penguin along with the paper behind it, but when I prepared the page to be printed, I separated them by mistake. Since the scarf fringes and the ice skates are doodled, it would have been impossible to cut around them with a craft knife, so I decided to use stickles on top of them. And it totally makes this card! Having just the penguin on foam dots makes the card really adorable. 🙂

Have you seen how wonderfully sweet this new collab by Erica and Denise is???

I’m totally in the mood for Valentine’s Day, since I did a project for the SM newsletter this month (it’s going out as I write, so it’ll reach your inbox soon if you’re signed up to receive it) that is Valentine related, and I needed a card to go with it. 🙂

For this card, in addition to the foam dots, I used distress ink to ink the edges, for the first time!! 😉 I LOVE it!! 😉

Christmas Card Keepsake

I was inspired by the CK blog to create a keepsake for our Christmas cards. Every year, I never quite know what to do with our Christmas cards, and while I don’t want to throw them out, they all end mixed up in one box or another.. So this project was just perfect for my taste: it looks pretty, and it keeps all the cards together!

I even created a gift log, thanks to these gorgeous prompts by Sahlin Studio:

A page for me, one for DH, and one for both of us, including the gifts we received and those we made.

I really enjoyed putting this together, using some of the goodies I got with my Christmas gift card at AC Moore! 😉 I am completely in love with glossy accents!

Gift Tags

I was working on a P365 page with this adorable kit, and I realized I never posted the gift tags I made with it. So, here they are:

and this kit is simply fabulous! It makes me happy just to look at it! 😉
