Go See Do – Hybrid

Yay! I did manage to carve out some crafty time this afternoon (see post below), so I made a quick page using the Go See Do printables by Mari Koegelenberg. I printed and cut them out with my Silhouette.

Here are a couple details:

It’s funny because I am not a circle person – rarely do they appear on my pages – but I was digging all the circles on this page! 😉

Have a great weekend!

Go See Do

I love the new kit by Mari Koegelenberg – 20% off today! Great for travel pages, but those bright colors were calling my name and I used them to scrap a picture from this summer. 🙂

I love how it turned out! I have work to do today, but if I can spare an hour or two, I’d love to print out a few of the adorable printables, and make a hybrid page. Wish me luck!! 🙂

Anchors and Boats

How do you feel about the nautical theme that appears to be so popular in scrapbooking right now? I have to admit that I am in love with it… I have no idea where this fascination of mine comes from, given that I haven’t been to the sea in years, nor do I have any sea trips planned… 🙂 Alas, I am undoubtedly and irrefutably in love with all the anchors, the waves, and – most of all – the color navy. Fate had it that we spent yesterday at the lake, so I did get a few pictures of boats and water. And then today, this new collection by Digital Design Essentials hit the store. Of course I had to scrap right away! 😉

Are you gaga for this nautical trend like me? 😉

July BYOC

It’s BYOC* time at The Lilypad! Such a fun and versatile color palette this month!

Here’s what I scrapped with it:

I had a bit of a hard time coming up with a good background for this next page. I tried light papers first, but then I settled on this paper by Valorie Wibbens (I recolored it), and I love the result! I lowered the opacity on the dot papers by One Little Bird so they look like vellum.

I also made a hybrid card using Sahlin Studio products. I love the aqua, pink and yellow combination.

I added some Glossy Accents on the yellow heart to add a bit of texture.

And that’s all I have for this BYOC at the moment. Happy 4th of July, and happy BYOC to all of you! 🙂

New Month… New Team!!!

July has arrived.. but that’s not all that makes today special! I have an announcement to make: I am joining the write.click.scrapbook team! Here are the new ladies that have been just added to the team:

Check out the official announcement here.
To say that I am thrilled to be on this team doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel!! Some of the ladies on the team are my scrapbooking idols, and I cannot wait to get to know the rest of them, because they are a crazy talented bunch!

So what does this mean? I will be blogging at write.click.scrapbook, and contributing a page to the monthly gallery (starting in August). My first blog post is scheduled for later this month, so you’ll hear more about it as the date nears. If you have topics you’d like me to cover, feel free to leave a comment!

Goodbye June

And just like that, June is gone. How can it be?? I have been MIA for most of the month – due to several deadlines for work, plus my mom’s 2-week visit. I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things, and I started by scrapping with this fun new kit by Digital Design Essentials.

I love the cool designs of the papers, and these colors are so pretty together! Here’s my page:

Here’s to hoping that July goes by a bit slower than June did! 🙂
