Summer Sunshine

Ju Kneipp has a gorgeous new kit at Catscrap:

Like all her kits, this really makes me want to scrap! I started by making this card:

I have a couple of pages to show that I did this weekend, I will post them tomorrow.

Happy July!

I’m no longer a guest Pollywog (sigh), but do check out the great sale going on, and the fabulous new BYOC!

This means that Krista’s store is also on sale!! She also has two gorgeous new products for the July BYOC:

I love them both! I used them to make a fun little party decoration:

July 4th Flags

July 4th Flags

And the fact that I don’t have any 4th July party planned is totally irrelevant. I can eat my watermelon in any way that pleases me, right? 😉 😀 I made a fun 4th July card too, but I’ll show that to you on July 4th. 🙂

Half Year

We’re halfway through 2011, more or less, and my P52 Cards is still going strong. Here’s the past few weeks’ worth of photos.

P52 Cards - Week 24

You can see the Week 24 card here.

P52 Cards - Week 25

Sorry for the weird colors on this picture. :/ You can see the Week 25 card here.

P52 Cards - Week 26

You can see the Week 26 card here.

As you can see from the location of the past few pictures, we’ve been spending some time on the deck. 🙂 It’s a good summer!

My stash of cards is almost depleted! 🙂 I have to get back making more. I do have one almost done for this week, though, so I’m good. 😉

Super Friday!

I have a lot of fun products to show you today! Let’s start with a super collab between Ju Kneipp and Kaye Winiecki:

You can also find this at Oscraps and at The Lilypad. I thought I didn’t have any use for a superhero kit, but it turns out I had lot of fun making this page! 😉

Next, a gorgeous hand drawn element pack by CD Muckosky:

Of course this screamed “hybrid” to me, so I made a card using some other CD goodies:

I gave the card to DH last Sunday and he loved it! He was really impressed at how realistic the alpha looks, and I was impressed that he even noticed, since he’s not usually very observant! 😉

Then there is collab by Lauren Reid and Emily Merritt that is so versatile and fun!

I really had fun making this page:

Next Time...

Journaling:
I have gotten two college degrees, a bachelor’s and a master, but I haven’t gotten to wear a cap yet. (No, the paper one my colleagues made me doesn’t count!) But next time, I will get one for sure! I can’t wait! 😉

Finally, I fell in love with the colors of these papers and elements by Rachel Young:

I used them to scrap another page of my mom’s visit:

and I have a matching page in the works. Have a great Friday!

Summer Plans

I made a fun project for the June ScrapMatters newsletter: a summer plans booklet.

I’ll be filling this with ideas of stuff to do this summer. It was really quick to put together. It’s the first time I did a pamphlet stitch for the binding, and I really like how easy and effective it is. I’ll be doing more booklets like this one for sure! 🙂

Almost There

I’m excited for the weekend to get here, or actually even just Friday, because I have quite a few pages to share with new releases. 😉 In the meantime, here are the past couple of weeks for my Project 52 Cards. Two weeks ago DH and I celebrated our wedding anniversary:

P52 Cards - Week 22

You can see the Week 22 card here.

Last week I gave him the latest card I’d made. It’s actually a postcard and not a card (meaning that it doesn’t open up) because I used a scrap of paper to print it out, and I quite like this format! DH said he liked it to (that’s a first!), so I might be doing more.

P52 Cards - Week 23

You can see the Week 23 card here.

I have a TON of pages to share tomorrow, so make sure you stop by! 😉

More Goodies!

I have lots more to show you and more exciting news to share! Mari Koegelenberg is guesting at CatScrap this month. Her new kit is 20% off:

This is the perfect princess kit, but it’s so much more too!! Don’t believe it? Well, check out the page I made with it:

Me in May 2011

Journaling:
I have so many blessings in my life. In this moment I want to focus on the good things and not dwell on the things that should have gone differently.
I choose to be happy.

The colors and patterns in this kit are just awesome! And it is positively HUGE!

Ju Kneipp also has a new collection at CatScrap today. This girl is amazing, her designs are always so inspiring, they make me want to scrap and create!

I started off with some hybrid. Here is a quick card I made last night:

Light Guides You Home card

I’m very glad it’s Friday, now if the weekend would just move and arrive already! 😉

Leavin’ On a Jet Plane

No, I’m not going anywhere (I wish!), but Jenn Barrette has teamed up with Laura Banasiak to create a fun, fun travel kit and it’s making me dream of travel to far lands and remember all the trips I’ve made:

I am so in love with the colors of this kit! The world map paper in it is worth the whole kit, IMHO!! The kit is 20% off, and there’s a free with purchase add-on included in the price if you grab it quick. Here’s what I made:

Oh the Places We Will Go card

I recolored the background paper from light blue to green to make the colors pop more. I will be using this kit some more, for sure! I love it! And I’m very happy that the long weekend has started so well: I made 2 cards between last night and this morning. 🙂 Hope to create lots more! 😉
