I haven’t blogged in like forever! I didn’t have anything to show to you (I’ve been working a lot on a very pretty project for the ScrapMatters September newsletter), but now I can share the card I did for today’s It’s in the Cards challenge:

Long Weekend

I had a long weekend this weekend, because on Friday my boss decided our group should have a retreat on the lake. It was quite fun! It doesn’t feel like it was really a long weekend, with the CT call at ScrapMatters taking up all of my Saturday… Anyway, here’s the new, fantastic team:

I did manage to scrap a few pictures from the lake last night using only Sahlin Studio goodies:

It’s new release day at ScrapMatters, and Erica Zane’s kit is soooooooo pretty!

It’s packed with a lot of oh-so-cute elements- I had a hard time not putting them all on my page at once: it was so hard to pick which ones to keep! 😉

I am in love with my latest card:

You can’t really tell from the picture, but I used Glossy accents on the bone and alpha. I inked the paper on the bottom to make the paw cut out stand out and I think it turned out pretty cute!

This kit is gorgeous for hybrid projects: check out the beautiful texture in the patterned paper I used in my card!

After spending a week in sunny but cool San Diego (and I never would thought I’d be saying this, but I miss that weather very much!) for a conference, I came back home to find that August is already here. And this means the new Sweet and Simple kit by Gina Marie Huff is in the store! And it’s absolutely gorgeous!!! Have a look:

I scrapped 2 pages (and a half… will finish that soon! 😉 ) last night, I was on a roll – it’s so easy to scrap with such a lovely kit! I started with some recent pictures:

I didn’t bring my fancy camera to San Diego, but I did have my tiny point and shoot. 🙂 I have more pictures to scrap, especially from my trip to the zoo! 😉

Birthday Blog Train!

ScrapMatters is turning three, and what better way to celebrate than with a birthday blog train? 🙂
I remember very well the previous 2 birthday celebrations: two years ago the site was moved and reopened with many games, challenges and fun prizes. I had found ScrapMatters only a few weeks prior to that party, and the birthday celebration made me realize I had found my digi-home. It’s been 2 years and that feeling has not changed! August is also the month of my birthday, so I’m all for celebrating! 😉
Last year, for ScrapMatters’ 2nd birthday, the celebrations included a blog train and many fun activities in the forum.
