Rainy Monday

It’s a rainy Monday here (even though the sun was out when I got up, but quickly disappeared!) so I need to share some of my creations to get rid of the gloom. 🙂

First off, I scrapped another of those hard-to-scrap pictures, and once again I love the result! I used a gorgeous kit by Sahlin Studio that was just perfect for this:

I also used some Sahlin Studio goodies to create these book labels, just a little organizational tip featured in the September newsletter of ScrapMatters.

If you aren’t signed up to the SM newsletter yet, you can do sign up right here. There’s a great free kit every month, plus nice tips and articles, including a hybrid tutorial by yours truly. 🙂 Can’t miss it! 😉

Brittishdesigns.com

You may have noticed that Britt of Britt-ish Designs doesn’t sell at ScrapMatters anymore: she has opened her own store at brittishdesigns.com! She is one of my 3 fave designers and I miss her, but I have still been scrapping with some of her goodies lately. This is the delicious and gorgeous cake DH baked for my birthday:

Yum! And here’s a picture I took last Saturday on a photowalk – I took some shots I’m really happy about and I love how this page turned out.

I usually have a very hard time scrapping great pictures but this time I’m very happy with the result. 🙂

Soar

I made another page for my art journal last weekend using some Polka Dot Plum goodies. 🙂

Very simple but pretty, isn’t it? 🙂

Jenn Barrette

I am so sad that Jenn Barrette is retiring from ScrapMatters. She is one of my favorite designers! She’s having a sale in her shop for the rest of the month.

Her latest kit is just beautiful:

I’m In Love!

As I promised yesterday, I’m back to show you the amazing project I did thanks to my new cutting machine. 🙂

When I first saw this beautiful collab by Krista Sahlin and Jenn Barrette, I knew I wanted to do something hybrid-y with it. Especially with that gorgeous ferris wheel.

So since I’m an overachiever and a bit reckless at times, my 2nd project with my new Silhouette SD was this:

The result is just amazing! All pieces used above were cut individually. The wood paper is about 3.75×4.3 in size so I think you can appreciate the detail this machine was able to cut!
I’m looking forward to the long weekend so I can play more with my machine!

So Pretty!

I received some bad news yesterday: my grandma fell and broke her nose. 🙁 I am so upset and worried and being thousands of miles away doesn’t help. 🙁 I guess we just have to be thankful she didn’t break a leg or something else, but still…. 🙁 So to pick myself up I want to show you some pretties I made Monday night with my new Silhouette SD digital cutter. This was the first day I had it, and I’m in love!!

Since I wanted to start getting some Christmas cards done, I used this adorable kit by Mari:

(oh, and have you heard?! Everything in Mari’s store is 35% off through Sept. 5!!)

I made this mini cards/tags:

I know I am biased 🙂 but I think they are the cutest ever!!! 😉

I printed them out with no bleed, and the Silhouette cut them perfectly. Yay!! I have another more impressive project to share, but I’ll leave that for tomorrow. 🙂

Zoo Pics Anyone?

Amy and Lauren have new collection out today! Here’s the kit:

and here are the animals!

I cannot believe how cool the graphics are!
And there’s also a bundle so you can save some $$$:

I happened to have some zoo pictures from my trip to San Diego a month ago, so this was perfect timing too! I had so much fun using this kit! Here’s the first page I did:

ETA (9/2 9AM): I also made a 2-pager to fit all the pictures I took on my visit to the zoo. 🙂

So fun!

End of Summer

It feels like the summer is over here. Not because of the weather (we’re in the 90s. Again! I can’t wait for the summer to be really over!), but because my birthday has passed and my boss is coming back from her summer travels, so life will be as hectic as ever.

I had a very nice birthday weekend: DH baked me a lovely cake and forbid me from being in the kitchen while he worked, so I ended up scrapping 3 LOs on my birthday. Not a bad way to celebrate! 🙂 I have 2 non-CT LOs to share. The first is done with a very pretty kit by Zoe Pearn and is yet another page from my mom’s trip:

And the second is done using some adorable products by Molly DeCrow:

I went shopping at Anthropologie with my birthday coupon last week, and I had to pick up this pretty headband. I haven’t worn a headband since I was 13 maybe, but this one was just irresistible. 🙂 I also bought some sweet flower shaped kitchen measurers and two wool cardigans, one for me and one for my mom, to wear at Christmas. 🙂 As usual, finding Christmas gifts for my mom is always the easiest task. 😉

Sunflowers

Happy Friday! This is my birthday week, and I don’t know yet if I will survive all the lovely dinners we’ve been having! 😉 The other night, on our way out to a nice crepes place, DH drove me by a gorgeous field of sunflowers, so of course we had to stop to take pictures. 🙂 The light conditions weren’t very good, so I’m still hoping to go back one of these evenings if the sun is out, since it’s fairly close to our house.
These new monogram journalers by Sahlin Studio were perfect for a sunflowers page!

So pretty!

Journaling:
Sunflowers. You really surprised me when you told me that while I was in San Diego, you went to the farm to ask when the sunflowers would be out. And then last night you wanted to drive by the field, and sure enough, there they were, in all their glory.
