Birthday LO

I had some pictures from my grandmother’s 80th birthday last October, but had put off scrapping them because I didn’t exactly know what to do with them. I finally plucked up the courage to scrap the pictures from this important day and came up with this LO:

The colors are a bit bold, but I love it!! I’ll be doing a matching page with my grandmother and the cake. πŸ™‚

Cute Pictures

When DH and I want to take a picture of ourselves, it’s never easy nor quick. We always have to try out several poses, and then take multiple shots because either I had my eyes closed or DH was making a funny expression (usually, the latter!!). So yesterday the picture I chose for my Project 365 was only one of Β 17 that we took, and most of them were terrible! πŸ™‚

Anyway, I had a couple more pictures I really liked, even though neither of them is *perfect*. But they were just too sweet to throw out, so I did a new LO with them tonight and I love how it turned out!

Valorie Brown is having a CT call!! Check it out here.

She has the most amazing designs and her kits are full of realistic elements.. I love them!
A little update about me: I haven’t blogged this week because I didn’t scrap. The reason is that I’m working on a hybrid project and it’s eating up all my time! πŸ™‚
But it should be done with soon, and I’ll get back to some scrapping. I can’t wait to show it to you when it’s ready! πŸ˜‰

Monochromatic LO

I did a 2-pager today using a bunch of Sugarplum Paperie’s goodies.

I ended up with a monochromatic LO, even though that wasn’t my intention when I started. But when I saw how well the background papers went with the photos, especially with the left page, I couldn’t get myself to put in any splash of color, no matter how hard I tried. πŸ™‚ I really love the result.
Here’s the 2-page spread:

and here are the 2 individual pages:

What can I say? I really love my new camera (and DH who gave it to me!)! πŸ™‚

Christmas Ornaments on our Tree

I took some closeups of some of my beloved tree ornaments with the new camera, and did a double pager to showcase them.

I have SO many more Christmas pictures to scrap I wonder whether I’ll ever be done with them, and when! πŸ™‚

Catching Up..

I’ve been a very bad blogger this week! But going back to work after the Christmas break was tough, and on top of it I received some very bad news from a friend and I’ve been out of sorts lately.

But hey, life goes on, and I have lots of pictures from Christmas to scrap.Β Here’s a few, taken on Christmas morning, the very first pictures taken with the new camera. πŸ™‚

I’ve been regularly taking my pics for Project 365 but haven’t had time to put together this week’s LO yet. I’ll get to it soon anyway!

Welcome 2009

Happy New Year everyone!

There’s a lot of interest all over the web for Project 365. I read about it months ago, and recently re-learnt about it from IkeaGoddess. The project is to take a photo a day, for a year.

I like the idea, but I’m not really sure how to apply it. Taking a photo a day shouldn’t be a problem (actually, I might have the opposite problem: I tend to take many pictures once I start, so choosing just one photo a day will be really hard). And then since I’m all about scrapping, how should I scrap them? Ideally, a 2-pager per week would work well.
But I like to dwell over the minor and major events in my life so scrapping 3/4 pictures from different days on one page is not going to be enough for me..
Anyway, I’ll start it for now, and we’ll see where it leads me. I will take more than one photo a day and will try to choose just one for the Project, and use all the ones I want to scrap as usual.
Here’s my first LO of 2009 and it’s one I’m very pleased with:

The Last LO of 2008

I managed to scrap one more LO before the clock strikes midnight. πŸ™‚

White Christmas

I was afraid we might not have snow for Christmas, but we indeed had a very white Christmas! πŸ™‚

I did a LO for the Grand Theft LO challenge at ScrapMatters: I liftedΒ this LO by sarahtawisha and came up with this:

It snowed a lot last week and it lasted for Christmas, but now it’s almost all melted away..
