Alas, I am off to a statistics exam this morning, but if you have better luck than me and have the chance to hop on in the forums, you’ll find fun games and prizes! Including my personal favorite, Kiss the Frog. 🙂 Happy DSD!

Happy Wednesday!

The month is almost over.. DSD (digital scrapbooking day) is coming up at the end of this week (lots of celebrations planned at The Lilypad!), and the November BYOC is being released on Friday.. But in the meantime, you can take advantage of the 50% SOSN sale through Wednesday. 🙂 Here’s a page I made with the products on sale.

I love the autumn colors so much!
See you Friday! 😉

Capturing Fall

I have some very exciting news to share today! The designers at The Lilypad have put together an amazing collab, and it’s free this weekend!

Just hop on over to Facebook and collect all the pieces. I’m telling you — it’s worth it! This kit is jam packed, and I seriously squealed out loud a few times as I was going over the gorgeous content!

Here’s my first page with it – the bright colors were just perfect with my fall pictures!

Day in the Life

Hello October! A new gallery is up on the write.click.scrapbook blog, and this month’s theme is A Day in the Life. I feel I already do a decent job of documenting the small everyday things between my digi pages and Project Life, so I don’t typically do these “a day in the life” or “a week in the life” projects. however, last month I started a new class schedule, so I thought it would be fun to use this inspiration to document it. Here’s my page:

I think this is my first 8.5″x11″ digital page! Initially I was planning to do a hybrid page, but then I ended up loving the digital elements so much that I left it at that. 🙂

Phone Photos Anyone?

Yay, it’s Friday!! My blogging week at write.click.scrapbook is coming to an end, and I am very happy to be wrapping this week up. And, I have some awesome news to share from The Lilypad! They are launching a new series of products – fonts to be used in smartphone apps to add text and images on top of your photos! Very cool!! And there is a free with purchase kit that is just plain gorgeous!

Here is what I scrapped with it.

Both photos I scrapped are self portraits; for the first one I handheld my camera, while in the second one we used a tripod. 🙂

Have a fabulous weekend!

Calendar Week – Wrap Up

My Calendar Week blogging over at write.click.scrapbook is concluded. On Day 1, I talked about planning for a wall calendar; on Day 2 I showed you how I get my wall calendars done; Day 3 was all about desktop calendars; on Day 4 I talked about how to use calendars in mini albums and Project Life; and finally on Day 5 I shared some inspiration for how to use calendars in scrapbook pages.

Here are a couple of projects I made for Calendar Week. This page was inspired by a calendar grid design.

And I put together a desk calendar using these awesome templates by Paislee Press:

These templates are so easy to use, and I love the design!

I selected a bunch of photos taken around our home for this calendar.

Trend Watch: Wood

There’s a great new Feature at The Lilypad – Trend Watch! This week’s theme is wood. There’s a challenge too if you want to play along for a prize! So I made a new page using some of the gorgeous September BYOC that I hadn’t had the time to play with yet (how did it happen that half of the month is gone already??).

Check out the discounted Trend Watch: Wood products, and play along in the challenge!

The weather has definitely cooled down around here. We had to turn on the heating a couple of days this past week.. I don’t mind it one bit. I am looking forward to my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season! 🙂

Falling Into Friday

Finally Friday! I have a group meeting tomorrow morning at 8 AM with my classmates, but I am still very glad that this week is over. I cannot believe how fast fall is getting here! Today’s new kits at The Lilypad are perfect to document this season! First up, a new collection by Sahlin Studio:

I am so in love with that deep blue color, paired with yellow. And the wood elements in this paper are gorgeous!
Next, there is something very special.. an entire collection by template queen Amy Martin!

This page was so much fun to make! I hope your weekend will be more relaxing than mine, and with lots of scrappy time! 😉

The September featured kit on Sahlin Studio’s blog is the gorgeous Apple Orchard! This means that the kit is 30% off this month, and there’s a chance to win a gift card if you make a project with it!

Here’s a card I made for my husband’s first day of school. 🙂
