Have a good weekend! I most definitely have some crafty plans, I need to relax after a super stressful week. 🙂

Summer Memories

Hello and happy Friday! I have a page to share with a lovely new kit by Mari Koegelenberg today, and I will have even more projects to share tomorrow. 🙂 This has been an excellent scrappy week indeed!
Here is my page.

I love that “summer” stamp – it comes also as a journaling card, and I’ve already printed out to add it to my Project Life album!

Mari Koegelenberg Is Back!!

I apologize for the absence on my blog.. I actually was on vacation for two weeks (yay!) and had a lovely time, but I am glad to be back to my craft room now. 🙂

Something really exciting happened while I was gone.. Mari Koegelenberg opened up a new digital shop and is back to designing!! So so so happy to be playing with her designs once again! She has a gorgeous brand new collection that I love, aptly named Fresh Start.
I have been on Mari’s creative team for over five years and I can’t begin to express how grateful I am. She is such a lovely person and I am so glad to know her! Here’s what I made with this gorgeous kit:

I was also super inspired by the gorgeous brushes included in this collection, and broke out my watercolors to make a card and some tags.

Have a good Sunday!

Black Friday

I’m a bit late in posting this, because Black Friday = putting up the tree for me! 🙂 But there are some very sweet deals to be had online today! I’ll start with a Christmas kit, since I am in Christmas mode now that the tree is up. 🙂

Seriously, isn’t this the perfect Christmas kit?? I made two tags with this gorgeous kit.

And I also made a free printable with a flattened version of both tags that is available on the Sahlin Studio blog. 🙂 Enjoy!

Check out all the sales and promotions going on at The Lilypad!

Next up, a kit by Jenn Barrette – I made a card with it,

and a page too!

Finally, a wintery kit by Mari Koegelenberg. And here’s my page – we got snow early this year!

How was your Black Friday? 🙂

More December Daily preparation

I have a couple more cards to share for my December Daily album. These are from a gorgeous Christmas collection by two of my favorite designers ever (isn’t it just awesome when they team up?? ;)), Mari Koegelenberg and Jenn Barrette.
Here are my mock pages (photos are from last year, but these cards will go in the 2013 album).

The Santa + reindeer card is totally adorable!!

Are you going to put together a December Daily album this year? What are your plans? I’d love to know! 🙂

Scrappy Saturday

Do you celebrate Halloween? Mari Koegelenberg has a kit out that is just perfection!!
I don’t really care for Halloween that much, other than as a chance to watch scary movies, but this year I do have a reason to look forward to it. So I did a non-Halloween page with this gorgeous kit. I am in love with the star and the ombre papers!

Jenn Barrette has a lovely new collab in the store today and  I used it to make this card.. I was thrilled with how well those gold splatters printed out on my Canon matte paper!!

I just added another touch of gold using glitter tape (I love that stuff)! Simple design, but I like how it turned out.

That’s all I have for today! These kits are 20% off today only!

Day in the Life

Hello October! A new gallery is up on the write.click.scrapbook blog, and this month’s theme is A Day in the Life. I feel I already do a decent job of documenting the small everyday things between my digi pages and Project Life, so I don’t typically do these “a day in the life” or “a week in the life” projects. however, last month I started a new class schedule, so I thought it would be fun to use this inspiration to document it. Here’s my page:

I think this is my first 8.5″x11″ digital page! Initially I was planning to do a hybrid page, but then I ended up loving the digital elements so much that I left it at that. 🙂

Saturday Releases

I had a scrap-fest last night and made three pages. 🙂 One is for the write.click.scrapbook October gallery so it will be two weeks before I can share it, but the other two are done with brand new products that are 20% off today. First off, the last installment in the Days of the Week collection by Mari Koegelenberg and Sugarplum Paperie.  And here’s my page:

Love our little corner of the world! Next up, an adorable fall kit by Jenn Barrette!
I am in love with these colors! Seriously, gorgeous kit! I used it to scrap a picture I took the other day of a funny squirrel in our garden. 🙂

This squirrel kept running around and acting funny, until he stopped in this position for a bit. Seriously cracked me up! 😉

Summer Favorites

I’m up on the write.click.scrapbook blog today with a post on capturing your favorite summer moments. Check it out!

Somehow, each year the summer months fly by at an incredible speed for me. This year was no exception; in fact – if possible – summer went by even faster than usual! I always have so many plans for fun things to do, but then our busy lives take over and many of these things never happen. The end of summer always feels bittersweet to me.

Reality check

Sometimes – especially now as the summer days on the calendar dwindle down to a few – I find myself regretting that we have done so little this summer. But in reality, we haven’t done little at all – it just feels that way because there was so much more I wanted to do. I need to remind myself that there have been many happy moments and each one of them was special. One way I like to keep track of the summer occurrences and give them the relevance they deserve is by making summary pages.

Summer Recap

On my summer recap pages, I like to select a few photographs that I love and include some journaling to capture those highlights.

For this layout, I used the digital kit Summer Fun by Mari Koegelenberg and Heather Roselli, and FG Jeana font for my journaling, which reads: “Each year, I have high hopes for a relaxing summer – this never happens, but I can honestly say this year beats them all. This has been the busiest summer of my life, by far. Yet, I am caught up in all these tight work deadlines, I want to make sure I savor the little things that are so special. So much to be grateful for.”

It makes me so happy to see all these moments together. I like to do these summary pages throughout the summer, and even more so towards the end of the summer, to capture those fleeting moments. What are your tricks to capture your summer memories?

Did you do a summer bucket list? I didn’t, but I do have a couple of things I am planning to do before the summer is over. 🙂

Days of the Week

Over the past three weeks, Mari Koegelenberg and Sugarplum Paperie have teamed up to bring to you the Days of the Week collection. It’s such a lovely collection, and each kit is great on its own or mixed up with the others. 🙂 Here is what I did with the first three weeks’ worth of kits.
