I do not have time for a proper blog post today, unfortunately, but I have to tell you about the new mid-week sale at The Lilypad, replacing Tadpole Tuesday and Wibbit Wednesday. From now on, on Wednesdays there’s the Something Old, Something New (SOSN) sale! Old and new products, all 50% off!! I have 2 pages to show off today, and they are using exclusively SOSN products, so make sure to check out the links in the credits and go shopping, prices like these are unbeatable!
Natural Beauty
Jenn Barrette has a gorgeous new kit out today – and it’s 20% off today and tomorrow!
It’s a Fall kit, but with a very unique color palette! I am in love with it!! I used it to make a card:
I apologize for the weird colors in the picture – I put the card together Thursday night and haven’t had a chance to take a better one in natural light since then. π It also looks really flat, but there’s a lot of layering with the leaves.
Yay for Fridays!
Are you ready for another Friday of gorgeous new releases at The Lilypad? I admit I have gone a bit overboard this week, and I have a ton of new goodies to share with you today! π But you’ll soon find out why I couldn’t resist creating with all these products – they’re too gorgeous to pass! First off, this amazing store collab:
It is obviously perfect for school-themed pages, but it’s also an overall awesome (and huge!!) kit well suited to scrap just about anything. Here’s my first page with it:
And yes, that awesome brush alpha by CD Muckosky is included in the collab! π If you like this page, you might want to check out these quick pages because I have turned it into a quick page! There are also a bunch of fabulous add ons in the store today that coordinate beautifully with the collab, such as these:
So of course I had to make another page. π
I am so in love with this page! π Next, these awesome ABC products by Valorie Wibbens:
and a couple of very cool alphas
that I combined to make yet another birthday page. π
Then, there’s a gem of a kit by Sara Gleason. This kit is so unique and fantastic! The elements are all handmade and they look so dimensional!
And there’s also a very convenient super template bundle pack by Amy Martin. You can’t go wrong with her templates!
And here is what I did with them:
Then there is this totally fun kit and alphas by The Tattered Pear:
and these gorgeous embellishments (again, they are add ons to the Wicked Smart collab, but they go well with practically anything!):
I used them to make this crazy page. π Not my usual style, but this story begged to be told this way! π
Finally, this fabulous kit by Kaye Winiecki
was just perfect to make a birthday card for my grandmother, since Little Red Riding Hood was the one and only story I had her tell me over and over again! π So I fired up my Silhouette to make this:
That glitter took forever to dry, but I think it added the perfect touch! π
Mid-Week Sale!
I love that with all the incredible sales going on at The Lilypad for Tadpole Tuesday and Wibbit Wednesday now my I have something to look forward in the middle of a busy week: on Wednesday I can share my pages with these pretty goodies! This week I used these gorgeous frames by Karah Fredricks
and this super versatile stamped alpha by Amy Martin
to make another page for my 2012 calendar. I just love this photo!!
Then I also used this gorgeous alpha
these pretty papers
and these fun photo corners
to make this birthday page:
That’s all for today, I’ll be back with more goodies on Friday!
Card Fun
I haven’t posted my P52 cards in quite a while! I gave this one to DH shortly before our vacation to Alaska:
You can see the Week 32 card here.
You can see the Week 33 card here. This next one I left for him at home when I went on a business trip to San Diego:
You can see the Week 34 card here.
You can see the Week 35 card here.
You can see the Week 36 card here.
You can see the Week 37 card here. All caught up now! π
New ScrapMatters Magazine!
I’m a bit late in posting this, but if you haven’t noticed already, the monthly newsletter at ScrapMatters has turned into a full-fledged Magazine. It’s a quarterly release, and it’s chock full of amazing inspiration! You can sign up here (in addition to the magazine, you’ll also receive the weekly new release newsletter). For this quarter, the topic is travel, and I made two very cute projects (if I say so myself) with a detailed tutorial. π The first is a beginners project, a luggage label.
And the second project is more advanced but adorable: a magnetic tic tac toe game, perfect for road trips and more.
Now, to brainstorm the projects for the next number! π
Home Sweet Home
Jenn Barrette has a new kit out today and it is gooooorgeous! I love the theme and the colors, everything is just perfect!
It’s 20% off throughout the weekend too! I made a card that turned out really well! I’ll give it to DH when he comes back from one of his business trips.
I have been more in scrapping mode than hybrid mode lately, but I love the two cards I’ve made this week. π
Friday Again!
ETA: My card was picked on a new website, One Story Down!

But this isn’t just a plain white paper pack. The textures on these papers are fantastic!! And a gorgeous pencil sketched alpha by the queen of alphas, CD Muckosky:
I used them to make another page for my 2012 calendar:
Up next, a really cool kit by The Tattered Pear:
some unique acrylic elements by Amy Martin:
and an extraordinary alpha by one of this month’s guest designers at The Lilypad:
I made this page about the book club at The Lilypad:
and this one about my new e-reader!
Whoa, that was a lot of stuff to share! π Have a great weekend!
Summer’s Over
It really true that summer is over once Labor Day has passed. We’ve been having rainy, gloomy weather here this week! All the better to get into mood for Christmas. Yes, it’s time to get working on my 2012 calendars! This year I have not been doing well – I’ve only done one page throughout the year! It’s time to catch up, and I took advantage of this week’s Tadpole Tuesday and Wibbit Wednesday sale items at The Lilypad to do just that. π
I know I will be using these borders a lot!
I made the September calendar topper with these gorgeous projects, in addition to some of this month’s BYOC goodies:
For my next page, I used some other great templates by Amy Martin and adorable elements by CD Muckosky:
I modified this page to be my October calendar page. 3 down, 9 to go, plus the cover! π Finally, I also used these other goodies on sale:
Check out this alpha, I.am.in.love!!!!!! It comes with a brush file too, and it is a must have, especially at this sale price!
I scrapped another birthday picture (I thought I was done scrapping my birthday, but I am not even close! π ).
Birthday Pages
I’ve been having a good weekend so far, lots of relax and scrapping time. π I finished scrapping my birthday pages using many of the new BYOC products:
I can’t say I am happy about having turned 30, but I’m trying to take it in stride. π
The weather is still warm, but it does feel like summer is over already. I want to enjoy the long weekend as much as I can!
