creashens has a new kit in her store, and it is so pretty!
I fell in love with the color scheme! And for a few days you can get the add on flairs for free!
Adorable, aren’t they? I made a page over breakfast this morning, and I love how it turned out!
Love this pink and orange combination!
Here’s my long overdue Project Life update. I got behind when I went on a 1-week business trip, followed by my mom’s 2-week visit, but the sad fact is that even after that, I’ve kept getting more behind. But I do have hopes that my life will miraculously settle down (I’m having an awfully busy summer at work :-() and I can get caught up. I am not giving up, that’s for sure! Anyway, here are the last three weeks I completed.
I was not all that inspired by Week 19, but hey, it’s one more week documented. π
I did not have much to document this week.. I was home alone until the weekend.
I guess it’s the color scheme that stumped me.. I do like how the right side turned out though, with the journaling cards – it must be a record, I used three cards from the Project Life Clementine kit on one page! π Seriously, I never use the kit anymore, but I was delighted to dig up three cards that matched my color scheme so well!
I love the patterned paper on the top right. And I think the birthday card I made looks pretty cool too! π
But let’s move on. Week 20 was a good week for me. I was home alone, but I had a major achievement. I LOVE love love love how this week turned out. How is it that my hybrid intensive pages are almost my favorite ones? π
It’s pretty obvious that I put together this spread after getting my new desk – the Silhouette-cut elements give it away easily! π
Bright colors, cut outs, stamps, and glitter? No wonder I love how this week turned out! π
Here are some details. I used distress ink for the stamping (it was the only color I had that matched the color scheme..) so the details aren’t 100% clear, but I like the look anyway.
I covered the star left over from the cut out with glitter. π
I tried using a strip of paper in my DYMO. It totally worked! π I love the look!
A nice mix of stamps and printed digi elements. This spread turned out to be really thick, thanks to those flowers I added to it! My album is getting quite thick already – it will soon be time to switch to a new binder!
And here comes Week 21. I tried something new this week too (once again, thanks to the new craft space): embossing! π I love it!!
Do not fear, it’s not that I need to remind myself of my name… π That one you see there was a name tag and I had to block out some personal details in these photos. π
This week is packed with photos and journaling! It made me think whether I am documenting too much.. I like to think that one day I will care about having all these details recorded, but I am not sure..
That picture up there in the top right corner was taken with my iPhone from the plane – the quality is awful in this picture of a printed iPhone photo, but in person it looks quite cool, with the moon framed by the plane’s wing. But let’s move on to some details! Here are the embossing stamps I made.
DH and I were on opposite sides of the country this week, so I had the idea of documenting it using a map of the US and our initials. This was my first experiment with embossing, and it was a go! π So I added more embossed details throughout the spread.
I was almost done with this week – I was missing only the bottom left pocket on the right page – when I decided to use a stencil mask and spray paint to create a background. It turned out pretty cute, albeit a bit too white. But then, as I was about to clean out the stencil, I noticed there was a lot of paint on the stencil, so I used it as a stamp on another piece of cardstock. Bingo! π This reflection had just the right amount of red to balance my page.
The journaling on it is kind of hard to read though… and once again, too many words!
I included several instagram photos from DH. I love the look with the paper strip down the middle.
Phew, that was a long post! Here are the credits for these 3 weeks.

creashens has some new goodies in her store.. and they are fantastic! Here’s what I grabbed:
These frames are so cool!
And I love these vellum dots.
I paired them up with these papers that I’d been wanting to use since they were released:
Here’s my page:
I kind of love this color scheme pulled from the photo! I just combined the orange and red vellum papers to get the color I wanted.
And some good news, our water heater is back up and running. Yay! π Watch out for a Project Life post from me soon. I have 3 weeks’ worth of pictures to share. I am still majorly behind (6 weeks, ugh!), and I’ve been dreading the super long PL blog post, but it’s about time I did one, since it’s been over a month since I posted the last one!
The horses in Mari Koegelenberg’s latest kit are too cute to pass!
But what really stole my heart is all the wooden bits! Adorable!
Have a great weekend! I can only hope that mine improves… woke up this morning to find out the water heater is broken… we’re waiting for the technician… :-/
Yay, I am so happy to share another gorgeous BYOC at The Lilypad! I know I say this every month… but I’m really in love with this month’s BYOC! π
I love these colors!! I started by making a page with a picture from the 4th of July. It was a super hot day, but we braved the heat and went to see the fireworks show (LO to come..). π
I also made a card:
I know I’ve mentioned it already, but I just love how having my own scrap desk now makes me create so much more! It takes no time at all to fire up my Silhouette, and I even added glitter to this card (on the flower). π I love glitter, but I often am too lazy to play with it.. But I really should get it out more often!
I know I’ll be definitely using this gorgeous BYOC for a few more pages, hopefully this weekend!
Leora Sanford has re-released a great collab kit with Designs by Lili:
And it’s 20% off! This is one kit I’ve always liked, but for some reason I’d never used it before now. Here’s what I made with it:
I love this picture of my husband!
I have two gorgeous new releases to share today! One is a sweet kit by Mari Koegelenberg:
I love these pretty colors! I used this kit to scrap about one of my favorite things in the entire world. π
Next, Jenn Barrette has an awesome new collab in the store today.
I started designing a card, and then suddenly I had the inspiration to make a cutout with my Silhouette. I am so excited about how it turned out! π
ETA: this card was showcased on the MSA blog. π
Have a great weekend!
I’m just stopping by with a quick post with a page using the 50% off specials at The Lilypad for Something Old, Something New.
Also, there is a retirement sale going on and hundreds of products are 50% off!
Don’t miss it!
I am excited to share some new products by creashens today! Catscrap has closed its doors, and {scrapflower} has opened in its place. To celebrate the opening, everything is 25% off through Monday, so check out creashen’s store! Here are some of her new products that you cannot miss!
The pink+aqua combination is so yummy!
This brush set is one thing I know I will be using over and over again – I love paint!
Vellum and chevron? Yes, please! π
These vellum papers are great to use as a background, or just as an accent piece. And here’s my page!
I love how it turned out!
