These two next pages are done with an awesome quick page set, onto which I added a few extra goodies. 🙂

How’s your NSD going? I have been scrapping today, working on my Project Life album. 😉

May BYOC + iNSD at The Lilypad!

The May BYOC has arrived at The Lilypad! In addition, the iNSD festivities are in full force, with fun games (and prizes!), a storewide 30% off sale and a free with purchase kit, so this is bound to be an exciting weekend! 🙂 I scrapped a few pages and made a few cards, so here they come.

I multitasked and designed a page while I was designing this last card – great way to save time and use up these gorgeous pieces of the kit that I loved so much! 🙂

Crate Paper Love

Hi there! NSD is coming up (I do have some work to do this weekend, but I hope to squeeze in some crafty time too!), but I have a page to share in the meantime. I made this for a color challenge on the Crate Paper blog. I love how it turned out!

I used the Maggie Holmes collection that I LOVE so much (the background paper, wooden clothespin, bow and the fabulous gold glitter Thickers!), plus the light blue paper from the 6×6 paper pad of the Fourteen collection. I added some sequins and wood veneer by Studio Calico, and a vintage Studio Calico bird stamp embossed in aqua Zing, a doily and some glitter tape by American Crafts. I recently bought some gold thread for my sewing machine, and I am in love! 😉 Here are some details:

Awesome Project Life News

I have some awesome news to share! I was asked to contribute to a year-long Project Life class over at the French website entreARTistes. Check it out:

I cannot believe the talent that is surrounding me in this photo collage!! I’m still pinching myself for being asked. 😉 Here’s a list of the contributors:

Karine Cazenave-Tapie, Céline Navarro, Edwige Bufquin, Amy Tangerine, Ola Mamok, Lisa Truesdell, Sasha Farina, Natalia Bun, Cristina C. (THAT’S ME!!), Kelly Purkey, Liz Tamanaha, Leena Loh, Janna Werner, Marcy Penner, Wai Sam, Magali Maleinge, Emma Chauvin, Evelyn Pratiwi Yusuf, Cécile Pottier, Soraya Maes and Geralyn Sy.
The class is offered in French, and each week of the year there will be a new PDF full of inspiration. Heck, I would say that it’s great inspiration even if you don’t speak French! 😉 I will be contributing two PL spreads throughout the year. I finished my Week 13 last week and haven’t shared it on the blog, because I am planning to use it for the class (it’s one of my faves ever, and I am so excited about how it turned out!). I will check if I can show a peek or two later on on my blog. 😉

Spring Fling

creashens has a brand new kit in her store, and it makes me so happy with these bright colors! I made a quick page this morning – I love all the brushes/stamps!

I am 100% in love with that patterned paper that I used on the right. So pretty! I’m thinking I need to print it out and put it in my PL album!

Always Making Something

Hello Friday! The weekend couldn’t have gotten here sooner this week! I’ve been so busy! I will have to work during the weekend too, but at least I can do it from home. 🙂 Have you seen the awesome new releases at The Lilypad? I grabbed this gorgeous kit by Paislee Press:

And now, I will let you peek into my very messy craft corner. 🙂

Somehow the desk area always gets covered in piles of stuff while I create. 😉 Is your craft space clean or messy?

Happy Place

There is a gorgeous new collection at Digital Design Essentials, and I am in love with these pretty colors! Here is a look at the papers:

I thought that pretty black and white paper was the perfect backdrop for this picture of DH and me – it gives it a formal look and makes the colors pop even more.

I’ll have another page to share soon, this collection is so much fun!

ETA 4/18: and here’s the second page I made with this collection!

Being a fast scrapper, I thoroughly dislike doing extractions (that’s why you see so few of them on my pages!), but these photos had to be extracted, don’t you think? 😉

Hello Spring

Jenn Barrette’s new kit (20% off today!) is perfect to scrap the first few pictures of spring! The journaling cards are adorable too!
I made a hybrid page and had so much fun putting it together! It’s 8″x8″.

I used mists (Heidi Swapp Color Pop teal, Heidi Swapp Color Pop primrose, Studio Calico Mister Huey buttercup), sequins and some stitching to add more texture to the page. Here are a couple of details:

That huge blob on the background was a major mist spill (taught me that you shouldn’t be scrapping when you are nervous!), but it turned out to be a happy accident in the end. 🙂

I also have another page to share (didn’t have time to blog it yesterday), using creashens’ latest kit and accompanying products, which are just adorable! I loved the blue in the kit, but I ended up with this red+green color scheme that I was digging. I think I need to make another page with the blue now! 🙂

Have a fabulous weekend!

Big Day

Happy Friday! Today is a big day for me so I conceded myself some scrappy time earlier in the week and made a page to cheer me on. 🙂 I used the new releases at The Lilypad, they are 20% off through the weekend! Here’s what I used:

I love everything by Valorie Wibbens! This kit rocks!!

These journaling cards have fantastic prompts, I love them! They would be perfect for an all about me album, or even just to document the everyday!

I love the look of misting and masking on paper pages, and it is so cool to be able to do it on digi layouts too!

Make sure to check out the retiring products section as well – there are some awesome products there that I’m sad to see disappear!

OK, wish me luck for today (more details once the ordeal is over, but I am competing for something big & important for the next step in my career!) and think positive thoughts for me!
