Ready for Spring

We’ve been having some nice sunny days here lately, but the temperature has been pretty low, in the 40s or low 50s. We went running Saturday AND Sunday and it was great. I’d take the cool weather over the heat any time, for anything, actually, but especially for running. 🙂 Anyway, despite the still chilly temperatures (the highs are in the low 40s this week…), spring really is in the air. The first crocuses have popped up this past weekend in our garden, along with many tulip leaves. So it’s the perfect time to use one of my favorite kits ever by Sahlin Studio, Sunshine and Daffodils. I made this card last week:

Somebunny Card

This is the featured kit for April, so this means that if you use it for a project or a LO and post it to the Sahlin Studio gallery, you get a chance to win a GC!

Sunny with Blue Skies

Sahlin Studio is the featured designer for April at DigiShopTalk, and she made a gorgeous kit called Sunny with Blue Skies for DST Gold Members.

I love the soft colors and gorgeous patterns in this kit! I used it to scrap this page:

Have a nice day!

Jewelry Anyone?

My mom’s birthday was this past week. Since we’ve been living far away for the past few years, I haven’t been able to give her a birthday present on her birthday. But this year, I found a way to send her a little something: I made her a hybrid pendant! It all started when I saw this gorgeous kit by Jenn Barrette and fell in love with the gorgeous patterns of the papers:

Bring in Tim Holtz’s facets, and you get a very light pendant that can be mailed easily:

I will be making more of these for sure!

ETA: I got a hybrid gallery standout at MeSoScrappy with this project. 😉

Spring Album

The new BYOC products by Sahlin Studio are soooo inspiring! Check them out:

As soon as I saw these gorgeous designs, I knew I had to print them out and make something pretty with them! So I made a Spring mini album.

Spring Album

I did lots of layering and used pretty lil’ things:

Spring Album 1

It’s just a darling little album and I love how it turned out! The inside pages are empty because I am planning to fill in the album with pictures and journaling about my mom’s visit next month, but I already printed and cut out the embellishments too (they aren’t adhered yet) so the album is ready to be assembled.

The BYOC products are 20% off as usual, and The LilyPad is having the quarterly 30% off sale, so make sure you stock up on the other Sahlin Studio goodies while they’re on sale!

ETA: I got a GSO on the ScrapMatters gallery standouts blog for this project. 😉

No Foolin’ Around!

No, this isn’t an April Fools’ joke… I joined a new CT! 🙂 I know I already had quite a lineup of fabulous designers, but when the sweet Ju of Juliana Kneipp Designs asked me to join her team, how could I possibly say no? Her bright, colorful, fun designs are right up my alley! So here goes:

Ju's CT

And it’s the perfect month to join because she is guesting at The LilyPad this month! Here are her products for the BYOC:

So last night I started to make an inspirational piece to hang over my desk:

I have to buy a frame before I can print it, but I cannot wait to hang this baby up!

Prioritizing

I’ve been trying to catch up my P365 pages and making this a priority. I love to have these pages done and can’t wait to be caught up and start thinking about getting them printed!

Week 10 is already halfway done, so I have about 4 weeks to catch up with.

Another Collab!

For the third week in a row Molly DeCrow has a fabulous new kit out, this time a collab with Studio Tangie!

Not only it the kit 35% off for a store-wide sale, but you also get the add-on for free!

Here’s what I made:

Love U

This kit is so cool, I just kept adding bits and pieces to my page and couldn’t stop! 🙂

So Many Projects, So Little Time

I never seem to post these on time, but I have been doing very well in my Project 52 Cards. So here’s the past three weeks.

P52 Cards - Week 11

You can see the Week 11 card here. I made a thank you card because DH organized the perfect romantic weekend: gorgeous hotel, spa, shopping spree, and even a totally unexpected gift (a necklace)! It was just lovely!

For last week, I made him a Bunny Spring card. Actually, we were at the grocery store and he was about to buy an expensive card to send to a friend of his, so I told him I’d make one instead. I asked him what to put on it, and he said he wanted bunnies – which worked out just right because I was using a bunny kit on another project. I told him I needed a sentiment so he picked one. And then of course after making a flat version to be mailed to his friend, I also made a prettier one (i.e., dimensional) for DH. 🙂

P52 Cards - Week 12

You can see the Week 12 card here. It was my first time making an accordion flower. I love how this looks, but it was a bit of a pain to put it together, since I don’t own a glue gun. So I made do with glossy accents, and lots of patience. 🙂 But it turned out really cute!

Finally, I gave him this week’s card last night when he came back home after a 3 day trip.

P52 Cards - Week 13

You can see the Week 13 card here. I am in love with this little card!

Being all caught up with this P52 Cards project makes me feel even worse about my P365. I only have 8 weeks scrapped so far, so this means I have 4 weeks plus the current one still to scrap. I really need to make this a priority, or I’ll never catch up!

A Couple of Cards

I have a couple of cards to share from the past couple of weeks. The first one is a very simple little card made with Sahlin Studio goodies.

The texture of that paper is to die for!! Next, a card I made to celebrate the first day of spring, last Sunday.

Isn’t this bunny adorable? I used glossy accents on the carrot.

In the Birdhouse

Mari Koegelenberg is at it again! She has a new kit out today that is 100% adorable! It’s also 20% off so you don’t want to miss it:

Isn’t it just the cutest? The birdies and the flowers are gorgeous! Here’s a page I made with it:

And since Mari’s designs are fantastic for hybrid, I made a simple card too:

It’s so easy to put together a LO or a hybrid card with these gorgeous designs!
