Another Halloween LO

IF YOU’RE HERE ON THE BLOG TRAIN, KEEP SCROLLING πŸ™‚

Β **********************************************************

I did another Halloween LO. I have two more to do and them I’m done.
I did this forΒ a Roadmap to Scrap challenge at SM. These were the directions:

  1. Use more than one photo
  2. At least one photo needs to be framed or matted
  3. Build a cluster around your focal point photo (can include elements listed below)
  4. Use a 1:1 ratio of patterned paper to solid paper (for every pattern, you need to use a solid)
  5. Include one fall/Halloween element, even if it’s not fall-colored- a leaf, a pumpkin, a ghost, etc
  6. Include at least 1 ribbon
  7. Use an alpha in your title
  8. Journaling is a must!

and here’s my LO:

LO Backlog

IF YOU’RE HERE ON THE BLOG TRAIN, SCROLL DOWN! πŸ™‚

**********************************************************
I’ve made a few LO in the past couple of days but didn’t have time to post them here. So I’ll remedy right now!
First let me show off a fun LO I did for the challenge at Sugarplum Paperie. I love how it turned out!

Everything by Sugarplum Paperie:

Whimsy Doodle (collab with Amy Sumrall), Glitzy Bits, Little Bits.

Next, there’s a LO I did at the Speed Scrap hosted by Britt yesterday night at ScrapMatters.
I was very tired, but Britt’s unusual first instruction made me want to stay till the end. And it was totally worth it!!
These were the instructions:
  1. You have to use a template. Find one that works for the pics you want to scrap. There are no rules on number of photos.
  2. Place your photos and basic papers into the template. Use at LEAST one pattern paper.
  3. Add at least 1 frame. You can add more.
  4. Add something black. Anything black will do other than text. Text doesn’t count.
  5. Use a repeating word somewhere on your page. Be creative.
  6. Let’s title our page now. Use more than 1 alpha.
  7. Time to finish up!! Journal if you’d like to. Don’t forget to date your page. Embellish however else you’d like.
And here’s my LO:

I don’t know how many people will pass to the 2nd round, nor do I know how long the process is to get into the CT.. Anyway, since I love SO and I love challenges, I’m doing my best to stay in till the end! πŸ˜‰

Happy DSD

Happy DSD everyone! I didn’t do much since I didn’t have much time to stay at the computer (DH and I spent a couple hours in the garden this morning to gather leaves!!), but I did get a couple kits with the special sales.

I also did a LO for the Saturday Special challenge at ScrapMatters, on white space.
I used Bree’s new kit, Lavender Mint-berry Cream, it’s just adorable!!

The page really came together in no time, but I spent lots of time on getting the photo presentable. The picture was really bad and washed out because of the strong light. After struggling to get the levels balanced, I had to give in and acknowledge I couldn’t fix it. So I just changed the saturation, duplicated the photo a few times and changed the opacity, and used a textured background for it.
I’m quite happy with the result and I think it’s really suited to this page!

Lavender Mint-berry Cream

Bree’s new kit is out and it’s GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check it out here:

It’s just full of goodies (there are 2 alphas..!) and the colors are beautiful!
Go snag it at ScrapMatters or Snapandscrap!
Happy Halloween to everyone! πŸ™‚
I’ll have my usual work day.. Ugh, I even have to take a midterm! Β :-S OK, it won’t be graded, I’m just being the guinea pig for the professor I’m TAing for, and the students will take the midterm on Monday. But still… :-/
I can’t wait for the weekend to arrive to play with Bree’s new kit! πŸ˜‰

What a Day!

I scrapped one more LO!

I believe this is the last one I manage to do for the October challenges at ScrapMatters.
Overall, I’m happy with myself: I did 14 challenges (4 of which hybrid), for a total of 21 points.
Still, I’m sorry I didn’t have time to do some challenges..
We’ll see how next month goes! πŸ™‚
I did this for a Tuesday Template challenge.
