I took a fun test for Jane Austen’s fans:
Month: May 2009
No Pictures (Yet)..
I was planning to blog this morning showing the 3 LOs I did last night with the gorgeous kit I picked up yesterday, but I’ve been busy and my plan got thwarted..
A Nice Day
I love to start the day with some scrapping: it sets me in a happy mood. π
And this morning I simply couldn’t resist to start scrapping a page (and almost finish it!) with a gorgeous kit by Sugarplum Paperie & Tracie Stroud I picked up at The DigiChick (it’s 20% off today). There’s so many new gorgeous products at TDC! I’m going to pick up at least one more! π
Anyway, here’s 3 pages I did last night.
The picture page for the January summary (this took me forever, but I like how it turned out :))

and 2 more pages with pictures from our walk in the park last week.

I thought I was done with pictures of lilacs from that occasion, but I have a couple more! We’ll see whether I scrap them or not. Coming next: magnolias (and are those beautiful!!). π
The Hybrid Chick
If you are even minimally interested in hybrid, you should definitely bookmark this great blog: The Hybrid Chick.
It’s full of tutorials and great, great inspiration by the talented ladies at TDC, and they recently started having some great giveaways too.
There’s one going on right now that is perfect even for those who are new to hybrid, check it out here!
Good News
I got the final grades for this semester and I’m very happy with how I did all this year! π
And today my mom’s visit is less than a month away! π
I did this page for a challenge at TDC and I realized I have few pictures of me and my mom together: will have to take more next month! π
This picture was taken when she came to visit in June of last year. It was great, but the weather was really too hot.. (and it really was the only hot week we had.. pity!) I’m hoping we get luckier this year!

I got a couple of comments in the gallery saying how much my mom & me look alike. I didn’t really think that was the case, but I’m very pleased to hear it! Yes, you can probably tell we’re related π but we’re not all that alike.. Or are we? π
Then I did the journaling page for my January summary, I’ll get the picture page done tonight.

I gotta say I like Wednesdays: it’s donut day and once Wednesday’s over the week just rolls away!
All Caught Up!
Since I started Project 365 this year, I’ve never had a problem taking one picture each day, but in March (Week 11) I started slacking and not working on my weekly 2-pagers. Then, 3 weeks later I luckily found out about the incentive program at Weeds & Wildflowers so since Week 14 I’ve always worked on Sunday to complete the weekly LO and was always caught up, except for that 3-week gap in March.
This weekend, thanks to the Queen of Scrap push, I finally got those LOs done too, so I can finally show you my all missing weeks up to now. π

It’s great to be all caught up, and I believe I’ll never fall behind again, because I work on placing the pictures and journaling during the week, and finish up the LOs on Sundays. π It works great for me! π
It’s Only Monday..
It’s only Monday, but I’m tired tonight.. I think I’ll call it an early night!

April Summary Page
Since I’m doing Project 365 and doing 2 LOs for each week, I wasn’t planning on doing monthly summaries.. But then this month’s workshop at The DigiChick is exactly that, and when I saw the template for the first monthly summary, I couldn’t resist. So, I guess now I’m doing monthly summaries. π
