The Final Weekend of the QoS (part 4: the Wrap Up)

Here’s the final 8 pages I did for the QOS competition. It just feels great to see all my pages of the month together and I’m so proud I got this far! 🙂 I really love 99% of the pages I did!
I started out with the idea of making one page only, but I quickly realized I didn’t want to overlap any of the pages, so 8 it was! 😛

I’m just dying to know who will be crowned the new Queen of Scrap and who are the 2 Princesses! The results should be announced on Saturday and I hope they can make it on time by then. Just going through the galleries of the top ten posters will take forever, though, since the total number posted by them is 1654 pages!!!! 😉
It sounds a bit crazy considering I spent the whole month of May devoting all my free time to scrapping, but I miss it already! 🙂

The Final Weekend of the QoS (part 1)

OK, time to catch up and post the LOs I did over the weekend. And boy, are there a few of those! 😉

I did a whole bunch about our visit to the Museum of Glass (see previous post for more LOs):

I think I have a few more pictures from this visit that I want to scrap, but I didn’t get to it. Will do soon though.

Queen of Scrap Stats

The month-long Queen of Scrap competition at ScrapMatters is over and now we only need to wait for the final result (the SM team will cast a vote on who deserves to be the Queen of Scrap among the 10 top posters).
The top poster totalled a whopping 260 LOs, earning a $50 gift card to the shop, while the top 10 posters (all above 133 LOs) have a chance to win the coveted title of Queen (3 month guest spot in the CT) or the 2 minor titles of Princess (1 month guest spot).
After having to catch up for the whole month, I managed to end up in 8th place, with 137 LOs. My personal record, and even though I never set a goal for this month, I never would have imagined I could do so much! Yesterday I did 27 pages. Amazing!

This month has been great and even though I was a bit tired this last weekend, I didn’t lose much sleep or any family moments: I was “lucky” my husband was out of town for 2 weeks in the middle of the month so I concentrated most of my LOs during that time.

Highlights of the month: I love all the pages I did (OK, there’s maybe 2 I’m not 100% happy with, but out of 137..!), I’m all caught up with Project 365, I got into Amy Sumrall’s CT, I completed many stand-alone projects that I hope to get printed soon, I had fun chatting with the other competitors, I blogged all the pages I did throughout the month (still have to post the final weekend but it will be here soon!)..

A great month, but I hope I win a spot because I don’t know if I can scrap this much again next year for the next QoS competition! 😉

I’ll post this weekend’s LOs as soon as I can, but there’s a lot and it will take me some time to gather them all. 🙂

Finally Friday!

I’m so excited it’s Friday!! This is a long weekend and DH is coming home! This also means I’ll have to get the house cleaned before he comes back and I’ll have less time to scrap… But hey, priorities, right! 😉

In the meantime, here’s what I scrapped last night. This one was for the Everyday Magic challenge at SM, I really loved the prompt:

I had my mom scan in all my class pictures from school so I’ll be doing a few pages with them. Here’s the first:

Whew, I can’t believe it I almost survived this crazy week, and got a lot of pages done too! 😉

TOOT!!!

I made Layout of the Week at The DigiChick!!! 😀

It’s my first LOTW ever and I’m so excited!!!!!

And a Few More Pages..

I haven’t scrapped too much today, but I did get a few pages done.

The first matches one of my favorite pages ever (see it here).

Then there’s a 2 pager to go with 3 pages I did about the cutest little bunny ever (see this and this post).

I seriously think I have a problem. I’m really crazy about bunnies! I was scrapping these adorable pictures and I went in the kitchen to get dinner started, I looked out of the window and saw 3 bunnies.. Awwww. Needless to say, I spent at least half an hour snapping away pictures and having fun watching them. Bunnies are seriously too cute!! I cannot resist them!

Time to Catch Up

Here’s the little project I’ve been working on for the past couple of days: I scrapped all the pictures from a weekend DH and I spent in Verona a little over 2 years ago.

I used the same kit for all the pages and I loved it!! As you can see I matched the pages in pairs, except the first and last one.
I really love all these pages and I think I finally found the right way to scrap pictures that come together in a series!

No Pictures (Yet)..

I was planning to blog this morning showing the 3 LOs I did last night with the gorgeous kit I picked up yesterday, but I’ve been busy and my plan got thwarted..

So tonight I ended up scrapping 4 more matching pages, and I’ve decided to wait until tomorrow before I post them here because hopefully I’ll finish a few more LOs that go with these and I can show them all together.
I’m scrapping pictures of a trip DH and I did a little over 2 years ago and I’m loving it! I thought about those pictures when I got my hybrid frame ready last week (the picture in the frame is from that trip) and when I picked up the kit yesterday and was thinking about what cute pictures of DH and me I hadn’t scrapped yet, those were the first that came to mind.
Anyway, I’m loving these LOs and I can’t wait to show them all! 🙂

A Nice Day

I love to start the day with some scrapping: it sets me in a happy mood. 🙂
And this morning I simply couldn’t resist to start scrapping a page (and almost finish it!) with a gorgeous kit by Sugarplum Paperie & Tracie Stroud I picked up at The DigiChick (it’s 20% off today). There’s so many new gorgeous products at TDC! I’m going to pick up at least one more! 😉

Anyway, here’s 3 pages I did last night.

I thought I was done with pictures of lilacs from that occasion, but I have a couple more! We’ll see whether I scrap them or not. Coming next: magnolias (and are those beautiful!!). 😉
