Today is 11-11-11, what a fun date!! I wish I could say I am doing something memorable today, but no, I’m working as usual. But there is a fun 11-11-11 challenge going on at The Lilypad to make this day special. Come play along! You have the chance to win an $11 gift card!

I brought my point&shoot camera at work and will try to take a snapshop at 11:11 AM. If that doesn’t turn out well, I will stay awake late tonight and take a shot at 11:11 PM. 🙂

I have not scrapped much because I am working on editing photos for my December Daily album (last year’s), but I did do one page with some of the new releases from this weekend.

To make the DSD celebration extra special, after the gorgeous November BYOC releases yesterday the Lilypad designers have prepared some fantastic new releases for today as well! There is no way I could possibly scrap with all of today’s new releases, but I tried to use as many as I could, because they are all irresistible! First off, I scrapped with this super sweet kit by Kaye Winiecki:

Chocolate is a must in our family 🙂 and I happened to have some very recent pictures of chocolate covered strawberries that begged to be scrapped. 😉

Then I used a gorgeous travel kit by one of the many talented guest designers, Fruitloop Sally, which was perfect to scrap our car ride when my mom came to visit:

It’s Digital Scrapbooking Day! It’s one of my favorite times of the year, with great sales and fabulous new releases! The celebration at The Lilypad this weekend will be lots of fun. To kick off the party, the November BYOC is in the store, and there is a free with $15 purchase kit – it’s a huge and beautiful collaboration called Things That Matter Most:

This pack is huge and truly fantastic. It is more than a template pack – the templates come with some very cool elements too (like paint splatters and frames), plus there is a paper pack and an alpha. A really cool concept!

Get ready for a weekend of fun at The Lilypad!!

I don’t have much to share today, just one page, but I’ve been busy this week! I am leaving Sunday on a business trip so I’ve been trying to get as much scrapping as I can before that – BYOC is next week, and then there’s NSD weekend, so there’s so much to scrap with! The colors and the doodled elements in this kit are just gorgeous, and I love how this page turned out!

I am happy to say that the leaves in our front yard have mostly been blown away by the wind, and this saves us from a lot of work. Unfortunately our backyard is fenced in so we do have to pick up the leaves there, but they haven’t all fallen yet. I will try to take pictures before and after our yard work so I can use the pretty rake and leaves bag elements in this kit!

I have something very, very special to share today. The designers at The Lilypad have put together an amazing collaboration kit for a very sweet girl, Melissa, who is on the CT at The Lilypad and is fighting hard against ovarian cancer. I did not know Melissa prior to joining the CT, but by checking out her blog I soon found out what a special person she is. And this kit is in honor of Melissa; all proceeds from the sale will go to her and her family as they keep fighting this battle.

The kit is gorgeous, truly gorgeous, and it is special in so many ways. So if you buy just one kit this week – heck, if you buy just one kit this month! – let this be it.
