Planning Ahead

Every year, starting in 2009, I make a photo calendar for my parents and in-laws. It features for  the most part scrapbook pages I have done over the previous year. I always end up having to make a few pages around the fall (that’s when I order my calendars), but the majority of the months is already made. This process works really well for me, and I know that this gift is much loved and appreciated.
For some reason, though, I always dread putting together the calendar. Ugh! Working ahead of the deadline is always the best idea, so this week I took advantage of the awesome retiring products sale at The Lilypad to trap some autumn kits, and made this:

Everything 50% off!!

and 50% retiring products sale:
Storyteller October 2014 kit by Just Jaimee
Musings by Pink Reptile Designs
For the Love of Alphas 2012: Doodle Sans by Allison Pennington

The template is also 50% off but only through Wednesday. So now the only thing left for me to do is remove the journaling and adapt this to 11″x8.5″, and my October 2018 calendar topper is done! 1 down, 11 to go! 🙂

March 2017 Mixed Media Monthly at The Lilypad

The background paper was just gorgeous, and I had fun layering some tree stamps and using other elements to make the tree foliage.

Mixed Media Monthly – Feb. ’17 from The Lilypad

Hello and happy almost Friday! I’ve been feeling a bit blah lately, but the latest Mixed Media Monthly collection (M3) from The Lilypad lifted my spirits right up! I just love all of the papers in the kit so much… I only made 2 pages so far but there are so many more awesome backgrounds I want to play with! I think this is why I love the M3 so much – it is so easy to just use a ready-made background or add a few brushes to it and make it yours, and it will always look so pretty!

I still have loads of vacation photos to scrap (plus I haven’t been taking any pictures of us at home – winter weather doesn’t help as it’s always dark!).

Have a wonderful weekend!

February Fun

Hello there! I have been quiet lately because I was traveling to the West Coast last week. Now I am back, and back to scrapping! Today I am sharing some pages made with the latest releases from The Lilypad.

We’ve had a very mild winter so far, with this being a rare – and pretty – exception. To be honest, I don’t mind snow at all, and I love the sight. It just bothers me when I cannot get out of the driveway. 🙂

And here’s my first travel page! I cannot resist scrapping the latest photos, and especially this time since it was such a lovely trip.

February BYOC at The Lilypad

Hello and happy February! I have been traveling so haven’t had time to make more than one page with the BYOC collection released today at The Lilypad. But I love how this one turned out!! I dug out some photos from our trip to Hawaii since the lovely colors in this collection reminded me of this place. 🙂
