iNSD and Other Designer News

With all the excitement for my mother’s visit, I forgot to post last week’s Project 52 Cards picture:

P52 Cards - Week 18

You can see the Week 18 card here.

This isn’t the best time of the year to have your mom come visit, with iNSD and all the fun activities in the digital scrapbooking world… Of course I am delighted that my mom is here and don’t regret a thing, so I’ll have to sit out on all of the digi fun and catch up later. It has only been 6 days since I made the last few cards (one is in the post below, and watch out for the other two in the next couple of days πŸ˜‰ ), but I am itching to create already! πŸ™‚ But in the meantime I can show you all the goodies my fabulous designers have created. Mari Koegelenberg has an amazing new kit out today:

I seriously cannot wait to scrap with it!!!!! It has the right combination of vintage/classic feel, gorgeous patterns and bright colors: right up my alley! She also has a coordinating grab bag:

It is such an amazing deal! Check out the previews in the store to see what’s included. Mari’s papers are so gorgeous for hybrid too, with rich textures and pretty patterns. I can’t wait to use these products! πŸ™‚

I am also very excited to tell you that Brianna Cox of Scrap’It Designs is back to designing after a break. She was the first designer who picked me as a CT member and I can’t wait to see what she creates in the next few months! She has already started with this gorgeous new kit:

It is so pretty! I see myself making a few crazy clustering pages with this kit. πŸ™‚ AND, there’s more: Bree is having a CT call:

She is so sweet and being on her team is lots of fun, so do apply! I will be back tomorrow to show you some more iNSD products and drool a bit. πŸ˜‰

Refresh

I am having a crazy week, but knowing that I won’t be able to scrap for a while (my mom is coming tomorrow!!) I knew I wanted to scrap as soon as I saw Mari’s new release:

This kit was originally made when Mari competed in (and won!!) the DSA designer apprentice contest, but it has lots of yummy additions! I love the patterns of the papers, and the colors!

I went a bit crazy with the design of this page, but I love how the pattern of that paper shows through the cuts! πŸ™‚

Let’s see how much else I can squeeze in before my mom arrives. No matter how happy I am to have her  here, it will be tough for me not to create for over two weeks!

Easter Bunnies

Mari Koegelenberg has a new kit out today, an Easter kit!

It is totally adorable, full of bunnies and chicks. The papers are absolutely to.die.for!! Since bunnies are probably my favorite scrapping subject, and I had some brand new pictures to scrap, I made this:

Hoppy Easter

Journaling:
I admit to having a moderate obsession with bunnies. While shopping for some essential craft supplies at A.C. Moore, I stumbled upon some adorable bunnies in the clearance section. But then I hurried to grab my supplies, and by the time DH joined me from another store and started telling me to hurry (as usual), I had forgotten all about the bunnies. So the following day I convinced DH that we really had to buy parchment paper (we’d been out for a month already, so it wasn’t really that urgent…) using a 50% coupon, and brought him back to the bunnies. He was equally smitten, and, somehow, we decided we could do nothing else but bring all four of them home with us, with a little dog thrown in for good measure. No doubt, we’ll be having a HOPPY Easter this year!

I had so much fun recoloring the bunny to match my bunnies. I think they turned out so cute! πŸ˜‰

In the Birdhouse

Mari Koegelenberg is at it again! She has a new kit out today that is 100% adorable! It’s also 20% off so you don’t want to miss it:

Isn’t it just the cutest? The birdies and the flowers are gorgeous! Here’s a page I made with it:

And since Mari’s designs are fantastic for hybrid, I made a simple card too:

It’s so easy to put together a LO or a hybrid card with these gorgeous designs!

Mad 4 You

Mari Koegelenberg has a new kit out today. It’s a collab with Elise’s Pieces and it’s totally adorable!

It’s also 20% off right now! I fell in love with this math doodled paper, and with the pretty robots!

And check out that lamp/heart doodled paper! Sweeeet!

Always and Forever

Mari Koegelenberg has a new kit out today – so sweet and romantic!

I felt like scrapping wedding pictures with this gorgeous kit, but since my wedding pictures are all scrapped already (actually, my wedding album is precisely what got me into digital scrapbooking!), I did she next best thing: I scrapped pictures of our cake topper! πŸ™‚ In fact, I took some nice pictures of it over Christmas so the timing was perfect.

This kit comes with a fabulous brush set too! I used some stamps to create a bouquet. πŸ™‚

More CD Calendar Pages

I put together a couple more CD calendar pages. I realize this isn’t exactly a priority right now, because I’ve decided to keep this pretty little calendar for myself, but I was eager to do some more hybrid with these lovely kits by Jenn Barrette since we’re in the right season, so I made the October and November pages. Here goes October:

I am completely obsessed with that owl paper. It is the best Halloween paper ever!

Yum, I am craving chestnuts! I hope we find some at the store this weekend. πŸ™‚

Gearing up for Halloween

Halloween is less than a week away and Mari Koegelenberg is having a week-long sale (ETA: the sale hasn’t started yet, but will very soon!) on a kit that works great for both creating hybrid spooky projects and scrapping your Halloween pictures:

I had fun making a shaped little card with it:

And here’s a look at the back of the card too:

Too cute to spook! πŸ™‚

CD Calendar

I really don’t know how to stop: I’m working on… let’s see, 2 hybrid projects (the Dec. daily – which by the way is huge – and the Nov. newsletter project) and one digi project (2011 8.5×11 calendars) all at once, yet when I saw these new templates by Mari Koegelenberg for a CD calendar I couldn’t help myself. So I am now doing a CD calendar too. πŸ˜‰

These pages are so easy to put together! I have designed 4 pages (but only printed 2 out so far because I ran out of time) and what took me most time was picking the pictures. πŸ™‚ Here’s the cover:

Mari also put in the shop today one of the gorgeous kits with which she won the designer contest at DSA:

So I used it for my September page:

I’m having so much fun putting some pretty embellishments on these calendar pages! πŸ˜‰ At first I wanted to do it with pictures of us, but then I got bored because I’m already doing the digital one and there’s only so many pictures of us, so I decided to go with some of my favorite pictures. I’m not sure yet if I want to bring this calendar at work or keep it safely at home, we’ll see! πŸ™‚
