Hello and happy Friday! I have a bunch of fun, colorful pages to share today, made with the new releases from The Lilypad (20% off through the weekend)!

It’s also the day of the release of the Memory Pockets Monthly collection, which is absolutely fantastic this month!

I had to cut of my poor husband’s head in this photo because there was a lamp right behind him that looked like it was on his head – ugh! I hate when that happens, and of course I didn’t catch it at the time I took the photo.

Finally, I made a hybrid page using the MPM add ons by Sahlin Studio.

Not your typical snow colors… but I love how it turned out!

Have a wonderful end of the week!

ETA: and I scrapped one more over the weekend!

MPM: Composition

Hello and happy Friday! It’s release day for the September MPM (Memory Pockets Monthly) at The Lilypad, and it makes me so happy! This month’s theme is composition, and the color palette is yummy.

Of course this kit and the add ons don’t have to be used in a pocket page.. in fact they work great for regular pages too!

I love how bright and fun this page is. Yellow + red + b/w.. love it!

I am in love with this floral pattern!

Also, I have another exciting sale to share – and you can thank me for this one! 🙂 These are my favorites from the entire store.

And check out the challenge in the forum using these products!

Be Fearless

Sahlin Studio has a new kit in the store at The Lilypad:

I was really inspired and ended up making a hybrid page with lots on fun colors.

As soon as I saw this paper from the kit, I knew I wanted to print it out and color it. So I did! 🙂

I used a mix of watercolors (Caran d’Ache Neocolor II and Peerless) applied with a water brush to highlight a few phrases.

Then I added some gold mist splatters, chipboard hearts and a die cut vellum paper.

I love how the background acts as motivational journaling!

I added embellishments to match the three main colors of my page: pink, blue and yellow.

I added a pink vellum letter for my initial.

It was so much fun to put this page together. I hope you like it. Have a great end of the week!

Happy Friday

Hello and happy Friday! Lots of awesome new products at The Lilypad (20% off through the weekend) that I want to share today! First off, an adorable kit by One Little Bird

I used it for this page:

Next, the latest installment in Project Mouse by Britt-ish Designs and Sahlin Studio:

I don’t have Disney pictures (that are perfect to scrap with these kits!), but I had some zoo pictures from Australia and this kit seemed made just for them!

Trip of a Lifetime

I am so excited to share what I created with this month’s Memory Pockets Monthly at The Lilypad! First off, I made a page with the main kit and papers by Sara Gleason.

Then, my jaw just about dropped to the floor when I saw the add ons by Sahlin Studio:

These products were absolutely perfect for me to scrap a recap page about my month-long April travels. I scrapped these pages in 9″x12″ size (a first!). I love the right page with the 3×4 cards. I had to matte my 8.x”x11″ hybrid map onto a larger piece of paper, and I selected this pretty vellum from my stash, since it matched the colors perfectly.

Credits:

This page is hybrid (=I printed out the digital designs by Sahlin Studio on Canon matte photo paper 8.5×11 and 4×6). Then I added more details.. washi tape, stitching, and of course stamping.

I chose one or two photos from each of the countries we visited.

I also made a fun recap of the main statistics of the trip. I couldn’t fit more, but I love this summary.

I added numbers to the map for the countries we visited, and listed them on a journaling card.

More stamping on journaling cards..

I made the title combining three pretty alpha stamps. It truly was the trip of a lifetime!

I’m so happy with how this spread turned out!

New Printer!

Hello and happy weekend! I have a busy weekend ahead, with lots of work I need to get done, and some play – I got myself a new printer! 🙂 But first, I want to share with you a couple of pages I made with some awesome new releases.

First up, a collection by Mari Koegelenberg that is super trendy, with the planner craze that has taken over the scrapbooking world!
I have not quite jumped in on the planner wave myself, but I have to say that laying out the month like this really inspired me. Who knows.. I may give this a go!

Next up, a bright, happy kit and journaling cards by Sahlin Studio:

I used this to make a hybrid page. I did this before my new printer arrived so I had to be creative using colors that my old printer would print (yellow was safe ;)).

And here are a couple close looks:

Have a great weekend!

DSD at The Lilypad

Oh my goodness… I don’t even know where to start!! But there’s one thing I know. The Lilypad sure knows how to throw a DSD party!! There’s fun games and challenges going on; a store-wide sale and free with purchase collab, and some amazing new releases. And then… wait for it… there’s a new monthly subscription called Memory Pockets Monthly. Seriously, I was blown away with all the gorgeous new designs!
Let me start with the Memory Pockets Monthly. Here is this month’s collaboration kit.

And here’s my first page with it.

Isn’t it funny how well our clothes matched the kit colors?? 🙂
In addition to the monthly collaboration, the designers also made coordinating add ons. The next page uses the add ons by Sahlin Studio.

I left the page simple to let the word art and that lovely leaf shine.
The shop has lots of new releases as well. Here’s what I made with some of them.

Happy DSD, and Happy Halloween!!

Hello October

The end of summer / early fall is such a lovely time of the year. I am savoring it.
Today I want to share the page I made for the October write.click.scrapbook gallery. The theme was “scraps”, so I used up some products I had in my stash, namely the September BYOC from The Lilypad. The October BYOC is being released this Friday, so I was happy to get another page done before that.

Hello September

New month, new gallery at write.click.scrapbook. This month’s theme is Back to School.

As I am getting ready to start the second and last year of my degree, it was fun to sit back and look at the pictures I have collected over the past year. I decided to take a picture of me for each week of class, and I love looking back and thinking about all that I have accomplished.

There were a lot of colors in these pictures, so I decided to convert most of them to black and white and only keep a few favorites in color.

It’s kind of daunting to think I have nine more exams to go.. but one at a time, I will tackle them all. Let’s go!
