The Best

The August theme for the monthly gallery at write.click.scrapbook was “the best”. I had just the right pictures for this theme: ice cream in Rome! 🙂

I love how this page turned out! I pulled out some supplies from my stash (mainly the Planetarium kit from Studio Calico from May of last year).
I love these gold chipboard stars by Pink Paislee. I had been hoarding these last few, but I was happy to use them on this page.
And now I’m off to make the most of this Sunday before the work week starts! 🙂

Hello August

And just like that August has arrived! Rather than go into panic mode that summer is coming to an end, I will focus on the happy things. And the new BYOC (build your own collab) at The Lilypad is definitely something that makes me happy. 🙂

I will start off with this hybrid page I made with designs by Sahlin Studio. This page was so much fun to put together!

I made it to celebrate my love of photography. I just added a kraft background, a red doily and some stamps from my stash. The rest is all printed out on Canon matte photo paper.
I also made three digi pages.

This next page took me 21 minutes (that’s the difference in timestamps between the saved LO above and the one below). I’ve always considered myself to be a fast scrapper, but I find that my pages hover well above the half hour mark. So I was pleased that this page turned out so quickly, because I happen to love it!

Be Amazing

The weekend is almost here, and boy am I ready for it!! In the meantime, I had fun with this lovely new kit by Lynne Marie – which is 20% off through the weekend!

I cannot believe we’re in the last week of July.. But I have to say I am loving the cooler weather this year! This is most definitely my kind of summer.

We Are Storytellers

It’s a fun time at The Lilypad! For starters, it’s SOSN (50% select old and new products) today. Then, there’s also a fantastic event going on called We Are Storytellers. It includes a free daily download (collect all pieces for a gorgeous collaboration kit!) and wonderful inspiration via challenges and tutorials. I am a long-time scrapper, but this event really made me think back to why I love this hobby so much, and made me want to scrap even more.
But, getting back to SOSN… here’s what I scrapped with some of the products on sale!

I have plenty of photos from our recent vacations that are scrap-worthy, and I’m definitely having fun with it.

Summer Fun

Yay, it’s Friday again! It’s no secret that I’ve been enjoying this summer, and I love the new products at The Lilypad because they help me document these memories. I played with two new releases. The first one is by Just Jaimee.

Such a fun, fun collection! Works for a lot of different pages. Here’s what I did:

Happy Friday!

Boy, am I ready for the weekend!! One more day to go.. In the meantime, it’s Froggy Friday at The Lilypad and the new releases are 20% off through the weekend. Yay! I have been scrapping this week! Here’s what I’ve been using.

These bright colors are so much fun!

I’m kinda in love with this photo I took in our backyard… It yells summer to me!

Speaking of summer…

Yes, this has been elected drink of the summer over here. 😉

I was on vacation when the July BYOC was released, so I missed it. So happy to play with it now that Lynne-Marie released her products combined into a kit! I also used this gorgeous new templates and journaling cards.

I made a month in review page. 🙂

And that’s all I have to share. Happy Friday… and happy shopping! 😉

Hello July!

Well, we’re a few days into July already (eeeek!), but I wanted to share the page I made for this month’s gallery at write.click.scrapbook, themed “the great outdoors”.

Summer has never been my favorite season, but as the years go by, I appreciate it more and more. I love how this picture I took captures the feeling of summer for me.
