Happy Wednesday

We are at the middle of the week (which makes me happy), and at the middle of the summer too (which makes me sad). But today is also SOSN (Something Old, Something New 50% off sale at The Lilypad), so overall I am happy. 🙂
Here’s what I made with products from the sale:

The design was inspired by that fun doodled background with the frames. I love the pops of color!

TGIF

I’m lucky this has been a short week for me, but nonetheless Friday couldn’t have arrived sooner! Yes.. it’s been one of those weeks! Luckily, I have no plans for the weekend (yay) and there are some lovely new kits in the store that made me smile. Here’s what I made from the new releases at The Lilypad!

Today (& Always)

Hello! For some unexpected turn of events my boss decided to give us today off, making this a 4-day weekend, and who am I to complain?? 🙂 The highlights of my day were catching up on my Project Life, and making this hybrid 2-pager.

I used the lovely Thick Day Brushes by Ali Edwards to cut out the days with my Silhouette. The paper I used is from this lovely set by Valorie Wibbens, which is part of the July BYOC.
Here’s a look at the two pages:

I had fun using different alpha stamps on both pages.

I love how the bright days stand out agains the moon.

I finished off the project with some messy stitching and paint splatters. I love how it turned out!

Let’s Go

Ali Edwards has some digital journaling cards in her store to complement this month’s Story Kit. I love them!
So I made another page in 9×12 format. I have pretty much settled to make a travel album using my gold 9″x12″ album and I love how it’s turning out. A few of the pages I made so far are 12×12 so I may end up trimming them to fit in this album.

I chose a picture from each of the places we visited on our trip. I debated whether to go with color or black&white, but the b&w won in the end.

I added the name of the place on the photo, and a number sticker to put them in chronological order.

I stuck to black, white, red, and some pops of aqua for the page.

This page will likely go to the end of my album. I love it!!
