I am so sad that Jenn Barrette is retiring from ScrapMatters. She is one of my favorite designers! She’s having a sale in her shop for the rest of the month.
Her latest kit is just beautiful:

As I promised yesterday, I’m back to show you the amazing project I did thanks to my new cutting machine. π
When I first saw this beautiful collab by Krista Sahlin and Jenn Barrette, I knew I wanted to do something hybrid-y with it. Especially with that gorgeous ferris wheel.
So since I’m an overachiever and a bit reckless at times, my 2nd project with my new Silhouette SD was this:
The result is just amazing! All pieces used above were cut individually. The wood paper is about 3.75×4.3 in size so I think you can appreciate the detail this machine was able to cut!
I’m looking forward to the long weekend so I can play more with my machine!
I received some bad news yesterday: my grandma fell and broke her nose. π I am so upset and worried and being thousands of miles away doesn’t help. π I guess we just have to be thankful she didn’t break a leg or something else, but still…. π So to pick myself up I want to show you some pretties I made Monday night with my new Silhouette SD digital cutter. This was the first day I had it, and I’m in love!!
Since I wanted to start getting some Christmas cards done, I used this adorable kit by Mari:
(oh, and have you heard?! Everything in Mari’s store is 35% off through Sept. 5!!)
I made this mini cards/tags:
I know I am biased π but I think they are the cutest ever!!! π
I printed them out with no bleed, and the Silhouette cut them perfectly. Yay!! I have another more impressive project to share, but I’ll leave that for tomorrow. π
Amy and Lauren have new collection out today! Here’s the kit:
and here are the animals!
I cannot believe how cool the graphics are!
And there’s also a bundle so you can save some $$$:
I happened to have some zoo pictures from my trip to San Diego a month ago, so this was perfect timing too! I had so much fun using this kit! Here’s the first page I did:
ETA (9/2 9AM): I also made a 2-pager to fit all the pictures I took on my visit to the zoo. π
Here’s a look at the individual pages:
So fun!
It feels like the summer is over here. Not because of the weather (we’re in the 90s. Again! I can’t wait for the summer to be really over!), but because my birthday has passed and my boss is coming back from her summer travels, so life will be as hectic as ever.
I had a very nice birthday weekend: DH baked me a lovely cake and forbid me from being in the kitchen while he worked, so I ended up scrapping 3 LOs on my birthday. Not a bad way to celebrate! π I have 2 non-CT LOs to share. The first is done with a very pretty kit by Zoe Pearn and is yet another page from my mom’s trip:
I love this pic of my mom and me!!
And the second is done using some adorable products by Molly DeCrow:
I went shopping at Anthropologie with my birthday coupon last week, and I had to pick up this pretty headband. I haven’t worn a headband since I was 13 maybe, but this one was just irresistible. π I also bought some sweet flower shaped kitchen measurers and two wool cardigans, one for me and one for my mom, to wear at Christmas. π As usual, finding Christmas gifts for my mom is always the easiest task. π
Gotta love Saturday birthdays! π DH is baking my cake right now, so I’m off to help (and take pics! π )!
Happy Friday! This is my birthday week, and I don’t know yet if I will survive all the lovely dinners we’ve been having! π The other night, on our way out to a nice crepes place, DH drove me by a gorgeous field of sunflowers, so of course we had to stop to take pictures. π The light conditions weren’t very good, so I’m still hoping to go back one of these evenings if the sun is out, since it’s fairly close to our house.
These new monogram journalers by Sahlin Studio were perfect for a sunflowers page!
So pretty!
I haven’t blogged in like forever! I didn’t have anything to show to you (I’ve been working a lot on a very pretty project for the ScrapMatters September newsletter), but now I can share the card I did for today’s It’s in the Cards challenge:
I absolutely love this kit by Erica Zane, and all the add ons!
AND she’s having a birthday sale right now, so make sure you take advantage of it while you can!
Tomorrow I’ll have another little something to show you. π
I had a long weekend this weekend, because on Friday my boss decided our group should have a retreat on the lake. It was quite fun! It doesn’t feel like it was really a long weekend, with the CT call at ScrapMatters taking up all of my Saturday… Anyway, here’s the new, fantastic team:
I did manage to scrap a few pictures from the lake last night using only Sahlin Studio goodies:
And now I can also share the August SM newsletter project, also using mostly Sahlin Studio products π
Have a good week!

It’s new release day at ScrapMatters, and Erica Zane’s kit is soooooooo pretty!
It’s packed with a lot of oh-so-cute elements- I had a hard time not putting them all on my page at once: it was so hard to pick which ones to keep! π
I made a couple of pages from my weekend with this lovely kit. This one is for today’s Roadmap to Scrap challenge:
And here’s a matching page I did:
