This has been a very cold winter so far. I don’t mind, because the cold doesn’t bother me nearly as much as heat, and I love snow, but it has been pretty cold. The coldest since we’ve been living here. So I had to make a page. 🙂
Have a nice day!

The number of paper scrapbooking blogs in my blog roll is steadily increasing, and I find myself drawing more and more inspiration from traditional scrapbooking. This week I was really inspired by this layout by Jen Jockish. So when I saw Jenn Barrette’s new release I immediately knew what to do with it.
This paper pack is a basic must-have for digital scrapbookers. But guess what? It is great for hybrid too. Check it out!
Rolling the paper was quite fun, and therapeutic too. I thought a bit while I was doing it and it did me good! 🙂 Paper is probably my favorite part of digital kits, and I just loved picking out all the pretty papers I used for this card!
ETA 2/23: I got a Hybrid Gallery Standout at Sweet Shoppe Designs for this card! 😉
I started out by making this card, using about a gazillion pretty papers from several of Jenn’s kits. And then I liked it so much that I went back and made another one just using all the pretty colors in the kraft paper pack.
I will write a sentiment on the card, but since I’m not particularly fond of my handwriting, I didn’t want to risk spoiling it, so I took pictures before that. 🙂
Yum!
ETA: I got a gallery standout at Me So Scrappy for this card.
A couple of years I got into making cupcakes. I made only three batches after I lost interest (I’m very proud of how my cupcakes turned out, but making them is quite a bit of work, and I’d rather spend time paper crafting. 🙂 ) So when I saw Jenn Barrette’s contribution to the February BYOC (Build Your Own Collab) at The Lily Pad, I knew just what I’d use it for.
Isn’t this mini kit just adorable? So I made an adorable album about the cupcakes I made.
I used stickles to add sparkle and glossy accents for the title.
Beads to make sprinkles.
I colored some white flowers by Prima with worn lipstick distress ink (same color I used to ink all the edges).
A mix of digital flowers and real flowers. The ribbon from the kit is so cute!
Sooooo pretty! 😉
We’re a few weeks into the new year, and I feel it is safe for me to share one of the resolutions I made for 2011. This didn’t start out as a resolution, rather as a “wouldn’t it be nice if…”, but now I want to commit to doing it because I think it’s really cool. 🙂 So, welcome to my Project 52 Cards! This year I will give to DH 52 cards, one per week. Here is a recap of the first 6 weeks.
See the Week 1 card here.
See the Week 2 card here.

See the Week 6 card here.
And yeah, in case you were wondering, I just took the 1-5 pictures today. From now on, I will be taking them right when he opens the card. 🙂 Off to work on a card for next week! 😉
Last night DH and I celebrated Chinese New Year’s eve. I made him cook a nice Chinese dinner: I don’t know how authentic it was, but I can testify it was absolutely delicious! This is the year of the rabbit, and I’m very happy because I am very fond of bunnies. Here’s the card I made to celebrate the year of the rabbit:
A very quick, print only card, but cute!
ETA: well, guess what?!! I got a GSO with this one!! Yipeeee! 🙂
Mari Koegelenberg has a new kit out today. It’s a collab with Elise’s Pieces and it’s totally adorable!
It’s also 20% off right now! I fell in love with this math doodled paper, and with the pretty robots!
And check out that lamp/heart doodled paper! Sweeeet!
There’s a great birthday sale going on at the Sweet Shoppe, and all of Jenn Barrette’s store is 35% off for a week! And guess what? She has a new kit today, a birthday kit nonetheless!! 😀
Isn’t this the best birthday kit ever?!? I am in love with it! Luckily, I had some birthday pictures yet to scrap: I hadn’t scrapped these because ALL the pictures DH took of me on my last birthday are really crappy. Yuck. However, thanks to a few photo actions I was able to salvage this pic. Yay! 🙂
I am so happy: a week ago I bought online a gorgeous new duvet cover; it arrived this week and we just put it on our bed. It is gorgeous! And now I get to get crafty today with some crafty supplies I bought online. Hmmm, yes, I might have gone a bit crazy with online shopping lately… 😉 Well, as long as DH doesn’t complain… 😀
Mari Koegelenberg has a new kit out today – so sweet and romantic!
I felt like scrapping wedding pictures with this gorgeous kit, but since my wedding pictures are all scrapped already (actually, my wedding album is precisely what got me into digital scrapbooking!), I did she next best thing: I scrapped pictures of our cake topper! 🙂 In fact, I took some nice pictures of it over Christmas so the timing was perfect.
This kit comes with a fabulous brush set too! I used some stamps to create a bouquet. 🙂
Jenn Barrette has a new collab out today (20% off!) with ScrapKitchen Designs:
Seriously, the preview doesn’t do this kit justice, because it is soooo pretty! The papers are to die for, and the elements are adorable – let me say just this: doilies!
I used it to make another 2 pager for my P365:
Yeah, I kind of see myself doing an all-Jenn P365, with the rhythm of new kits she’s been putting out lately! 🙂
Jenn Barrette is on fire this month! Today she has 2 new collab kits out at the Lilypad, and they’re both just amazing (and 20% off right now, which never hurts!)! First off, a collab with Val Wibbens:
I made this fun card with it:
Next this all-adorable robot love kit with Jenna Desai:
Isn’t this the cutest robot couple ever? Hehe! 😉
And, believe it or not, Jenn has another kit coming out tomorrow at the Sweet Shoppe, so be prepared for more cuteness! 🙂
