Fun Neon Spray from Acrylic Ink

I recently bought 3 bottles of acrylic ink by Daler-Rowney. (here’s a set of neon colors, and I also bought the gold).

As you can see the colors are incredibly vibrant and fun! The bottle they come in has a dropper and I was planning to use that for making drops on my projects, but then I had an even better idea – to use a mini mister bottle and make my own spray!

The acrylic ink is very fluid so I used it straight from the bottle, without diluting it. It worked like a charm!

Here’s an example used in my traveler’s notebook (Hobonichi weeks):

(it’s really hard to photograph these vibrant colors, but they are so vivid in real life!!)

I’m so happy to have found these inks – especially since my go-to gold spray (Heidi Swapp’s color shine) has been discontinued!

Stella – Foxy Fix Perfect Fit Cover

I am in love!! Last month Foxy Fix released a new leather called Stella – it’s the same leather as Rowena, but it is grey instead of brown. And it is absolutely gorgeous! I ordered a perfect fit cover for my Hobonichi cousin – A5 size.

And it feels amazing! Smooth and soft!

You can customize the perfect fit cover – I chose white stitching and yellow elastic.

For the inside, I chose the criss-cross pocket. You can see my Hobonichi Cousin Avec inside, which I labeled with some monthly tab stickers from Studio Calico – I love being able to quickly flip to the right month!

The Hobonichi Cousin Avec has same A5 format as the Cousin version, but it’s split into two volumes (January-June, and July-December). I prefer it because I can only carry one volume around with me.

This is what the back pocket looks like.

Now, is this really a perfect fit like the name claims??

I tried my perfect fit cover with these 3 notebooks:

The cover I bought is for the Hobonichi Cousin, and you can see that with the Avec version there is some extra room. The Leuchtturm1917 A5 (hardcover) fits pretty well, even though it is a snug fit to insert the back cover into the pocket. Foxy Fix also sells a model of perfect fit covers specifically for the Leuchtturm1917 A5. I wish there were a slimmer version to fit the avec, but as it is it’s not too bad at all, I like having the option of using my cover for all these notebooks!

Overall I am thrilled with my purchase! These covers come in a variety of leathers and colors if you want to try something different. Save 10% off your first order with my Foxy Fix Referral.

April Mixed Media Monthly at The Lilypad

It’s time for the newest Mixed Media Monthly collection from The Lilypad – and it’s a really good one! I made 4 pages all in one sitting, because there were just so many good papers in the kit that I wanted to use!

April 2018 Mixed Media Monthly from The Lilypad

The first page had to be about the crazy weather we are having this year.

Next, I made a motivational page inspired by the background paper with the words “time to begin again”.

What I love with the M3 collection is that you can add as little or as much as you want, and you can’t go wrong! Here I added very little – one piece of word art, a photo, and my journaling. That background paper is just so pretty!

And to finish, one more page about this crazy, crazy weather.

Have a lovely weekend!

I find this process so very freeing! I don’t have to make sure each piece is a masterpiece – I just enjoy the creative process, and then move on to the next page. I love being able to print out my digital supplies for this, because I can reprint them and there’s no need to hoard the supplies!
