Softest Touch

Bree has a new kit in the store and I have to say it is GORGEOUS!! If you’re a regular visitor of this blog and have seen my work, you know I almost always scrap in bold, bright colors. But this kit really inspired me. It’s superbly sweet and romantic!
I present you, Softest Touch:

and this morning during breakfast 🙂 I made this page with it:

What a nice way to start the day, playing with such a gorgeous kit!
Check out that alpha because it’s fabulous!! It’s beautiful and super complete (upper, lower, numbers and lots of symbols that usually aren’t there- like the # that I always use for my monthiversary pages 😉 )!

Sky Is the Limit

There’s a new kit out today by Mari Koegelenberg, and I really love it! I love the colors and the elements and even the name of the kit! 🙂 It’s a collab with Courtney Wilson and it’s called Sky Is the Limit:

And I had the perfect pictures to scrap with it! 🙂
For my birthday last week, DH got me a camera strap. But not just any camera strap: I’ve been wanting one for some time, so I went and searched on Etsy for a cheap one that had a pattern I liked, found the right one and emailed the link to DH 2-3 weeks before my birthday. I wasn’t really expecting he’d wait that long to get it for me, since it was quite cheap and not a surprise at all, but he did get it for my birthday, and made it work as a surprise too: since so much time had passed I had given up on it; plus, the Etsy store had closed for maintenance in the meantime, so I believed he’d just missed the right moment to buy it. 🙂 Anyway, long story, but I really love the new camera strap cover. It’s really pretty and cool, but especially I wanted it to make the strap less harsh on my neck – I tried it out at the zoo this weekend and I must say it does make a difference!

Mari’s whole store is 30% off until Monday, so make sure you check it out!!

September!

September is here already, and after 4 months of break I’m starting classes today. I cannot believe how fast the summer has flown by; and it sure feels like fall here now: it was 48 degrees this morning when DH and I went running. It’s way too cold for me to be out in a t-shirt and shorts! We’ll have to try to run in the evenings I guess.

I can now post the second zoo page I did yesterday. I did this for the Inspiration Point challenge at ScrapMatters:

The lions were really gorgeous. I took some more lovely pics of them that I’ll have to scrap.

Zoo!

We went to the zoo this weekend and I took a gazillion pictures! Seriously, I only brought 1 memory card because I didn’t want to take too many pictures, but I still filled it up and came home with 402 pics!! How am I ever going to scrap them all?!? 😉 Anyway, we had lots of fun and were super lucky with the weather too: it was cloudy, so we enjoyed the cool air and only very few people were there!
I already did 2 pages but I can show only this one for now:

(the order in which I’m scrapping these is completely random so bear with me! 😉 Hopefully some day I’ll have filled in all the gaps!)

Weeks 31-33

I’m slowly catching up on my Project 365. I’m now 2 weeks behind and hope to catch up this week, although I have lots of other pages to scrap with new kits coming out, so we’ll see how it goes! 🙂
In the meantime, here’s 3 weeks’ worth of pages:
