Happy Saturday! I’m here to share my project for the May ScrapMatters newsletter. This was so much fun to make! However, taking a picture of the completed project was not fun at all: I didn’t have enough light, and all the animals kept moving around! Ugh! Here’s the best shot I could get:

It looks so much better in person. When I finished it, DH said it turned out much better than he expected (ha, thanks for the vote of confidence!). I’ll take that as a compliment, anyway. 🙂

Sweet & Simple kit

This month’s Sweet and Simple kit by Gina Marie Huff was put in the store late, but let me tell you: it was worth the wait! It is so huge and fabulous!

I used it to start scrapping my mom’s visit, and I really love how these pages have turned out! 😉

Yes, we has snow on Mother’s Day! It was only a dusting. We had really poor weather when my mom was here, it was pretty cold! Oh well, we had a great time anyway! 🙂
I have a lot more pictures to scrap about her visit, so be prepared to see them soon! 🙂

What’s Cooking?

Mari Koegelenberg has an adorable new kit out today – and with a husband who is a great cook, I couldn’t be happier to have this kit! 😉

The papers in this kit are stunning!!!!! She also has a great set of printables – perfect to make a recipe book!

On a personal note, my mom’s visit ended Monday, so I’m back to my usual routine – and some scrapping  too! 😉 I’ve been scrapping a few pages about her visit and I’ll post them here tomorrow. 🙂

I don’t know if you’ve noticed (so many games and contests going on for iNSD!) but the Queen of Scrap competition has started at ScrapMatters! It’s seriously the craziest and funniest contest ever. And the best way to get many LOs done during the month of May.

iNSD Blog Train!

Before sharing my freebie, I wanted to share a little story with you. I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time fitting in my scrapbooking hobby with my busy life; but scrapping my memories is so important to me that I’ll never give it up. Still, my husband complains ofter of all my computer time… 😉 Anyway, I made a hybrid mini album to celebrate our 10th dating anniversary last summer as a gift to my husband:

He liked it very much. But I didn’t realize how much he really liked it until a few months later, when we were talking about gifts and I asked him what was the best gift he got from me in all the time we’ve been together. And of all the gifts I gave him through the years (and there were expensive ones and ones he really wished for like his piano!) but he said his favorite of all was the 10 years mini album. So make sure you scrap the big and little moments of your life. It really matters!
