Clean and Simple

I am hosting the January 4th challenge for the Month of Challenges at The Lilypad. Today’s challenge is to make a clean and simple page. Obviously this is right up my alley, but I have some tips for you if that’s not the case for you. Check them out here. Here’s my page:

You have all month long to play in the Month of Challenges. I am blown away by all the gorgeous pages that have been created so far! Inspiration overload! So far I am keeping up quite nicely, with 3 pages made out of 4. Let’s see how far I can get. If you play in all 31 challenges, you get a free $20 gift card to the store, plus the chance to win a spot on the Creative Team!

Hello 2015!

Hello, and Happy 2015!! I hope you had a great start of the year!

The January BYOC is in the store at The Lilypad, and I used it to scrap this page:

January is the Month of Challenges at The Lilypad: one challenge each day, and if you complete them all you get a $20 gift card to the store! And a chance to become a Pollywog like me (= creative team member.. best gig ever!!). 🙂 I hope you will play along! I am hosting the Jan. 4th challenge, so look for my post on Sunday.
I played along with today’s challenge.

This is my first page scrapped in 2015, and I am in love with it!!

I also have a page to share from the January monthly gallery at write.click.scrapbook. This month’s theme was “decades”.. I was stumped at first, then I took this occasion to document something I don’t think I would have documented otherwise: my love for 50s music! 🙂

I worked on my Project Life album today, but my printer is dying and I am unable to print pictures. So frustrating! I have my eye set on a new printer, but until that happens I guess I’ll have to stick to digital pages. 🙂

Goodbye 2014

As the year comes to a close, I thought it would be fun to look back at 2014. It has been a good crafty/memory keeping year for me.

I took close to 5,000 pictures on my dSLR and ~2,000 on my iPhone – indeed, I love my big camera!!
I made:

  • about 115 digital layouts,
  • 28 paper layouts,
  • ~36 cards,
  • 3 mini books (a fourth one – December Daily 2014 – is on its way),
  • a dozen tags,
  • and 42 weeks documented in my 2014 Project Life album (slowly but surely, I’m catching up on those remaining 10 weeks).

Here are just a few of my favorite pages from 2014..

I tried new things: die cutting, letterpressing. I attended my very first crop and met up with some online friends.

It has been a good year. And now, bring on 2015! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
