A for Awesome

Back to school anyone? Usually these kits do not apply, but this one by Mari Koegelenberg and Little Butterfly Wings was perfect for me this year! And I love that these sentiments can be used in a large variety of pages, not just school layouts.

Here’s my page. I love this background paper and the cool word art!

Sit tight, I have a Project Life post coming soon-ish (at last!). 😉

Free Kit by Sahlin Studio

Not only is she one of the most amazing designers… Krista of Sahlin Studio is also extremely generous! Check out how gorgeous this kit is! And it is free for all newsletter subscribers! Check out the details here.

*sigh* These colors make me so happy! I used it to make a card:

Have a great rest of the week!

August BYOC and more

I have a few pages and cards to share. First off, the August BYOC is in the shop at The Lilypad! I love the color scheme for this month, and here’s what I made with it:

Sweetness papers and Sweetness accents by One Little Bird
Hey MISTer brushes by Karah Fredricks

Next, I have a couple of cards to share from last week, both done using my Silhouette Electronic Cutting Tool. The first one uses the August featured kit by Sahlin Studio – it’s 30% off for the whole month, and if you use it you can win a prize!

This next card was inspired by the trend of vellum pockets with confetti – as soon as I saw the gorgeous paper in Jenn Barrette’s kit, I knew I had to use it right away. 🙂

To write the sentiment on this card, I used my favorite alpha stamp set: the Stepping Stone Alphabet – Clear Stamps by Studio Calico/Hero Arts, stamped with Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad, Worn Lipstick – I love this pretty pink color!

Lastly, I will share my favorite recent page:

I love how it turned out! Like the page at the beginning of the post, this one uses cell phone camera photos. The camera on DH’s Apple iPhone 4S is really good!
ETA: this page was featured on the MSA blog.

Guest Spot at One Story Down

Mari Koegelenberg is guest designer at One Story Down this month. Check out this adorable new kit she put in the store today! Aaaaand, you can get a chance to win this kit if you leave a comment in this post. 🙂

The papers in this kit are fantastic. I had a hard time to pick which ones to use on my first page, because they are all so pretty! The elements are really cute too.
